Traffic wardens and private clamping firms? Wot be they? We don't 'ave them in The Caaaaastle. If I wants to buy summut 'ere, I jus parks outside the shop, goes in, then comes out, and drives off........You be strange folk in the north of the county.
Probably don't even accidently get sheep muck down the front of yer corduroy trousers.......

My wife received a parking charge notice through the post last week from smart parking for over staying her welcome whilst legitemately doing her shopping at asda in salon. She had no idea such a system was in operation at that store. LIVID!!!. We the ticket to the store along with bank statements to show we have shopped there for donkeys years etc etc. the duty manager to her credit immediately agreed to get the charge stopped. I asked the store to point out what system was in place to allow the customer to over ride the system , so that if you know/think you may be longer than the allowed time you would not be charged for just doing your normal food shopping. Manager pointed out signs Approx 8/9feet in the air with small writing which says "need more time", very difficult to see especially when you are concentrating on traffic coming at you from all directions whilst also looking for a space too, I then made a suggestion that it would be a reasonably good idea to have LARGE signage around the trolley bays, around the doors and at frequent intervals around the store, such as those notifications which tell you what's on offer currently that they know you can,t miss. This idea fell on deaf ears I,m afraid so my reaction was obviously a remark of entrapment. Email now sent to store manager and asda head office stating reason why We would not be shopping at any Asida store again until such a system was in place.Currently awaiting response!! Also tackled sainsburys at me ole re the same idea, notice also at me ole it states "match days only" , well you tell me how joe blogs and his missus from rural mid Wales for example, who decide to come to me ole for the day to visit retail park, have some bait , then do a full food shop, are supposed to know when it,s match day, they probably only know a bit of rugby and "one man and his dog sheep trials" Yes , Parking penalty systems are needed I agree in some areas, But, systems must be in place which are immediately obvious to protect the innocent/ unaware
