Yes we do know what the shirt looks like and yes, we do know the supplier, but it is not for public consumption...yet. The problem the club has, which increasingly became apparent over the years at GM, is one of not being inclusive, or at least not succeeding in getting that message over. can only speak of the days that I have been going down the Meadow and the time I was involved with the club, so we are talking 58/59 to present, but apart from the chosen few ie Directors, Club Secretary and the players, everyone bought into our club, you could be involved as much as you wanted to be.....joining the supporters club, helping to clear the pitch, sell programmes, waiting for hours at the players entrance, putting signs up in the pubs in town, having a beer with the players after a game in the Yorkshire or Three Fishes etc etc. Today everything is at arms length; the fans are not able, or allowed to engage normally with the club. it is the way society and business is today...corporate and uniform. Things like, for instance, a supporters bar at the ground rather than corporate sponsors lounges or areas you can only gain access to if you are a member of something, would make a great different..it would create an environment for the supporters that whilst located within the environs of the club, would be their own territory, just like it used to be at Rushden and Diamonds...there was a lot to admire about their set up. There are moves afoot that could, could, address the above, albeit from the private sector. I find Greenhous Meadow sterile and not something that I have any empathy or love of...i go there to watch my team play football and then I go home. An interesting post and I have sympathy about some points, particularly Greenhous Meadow being sterile and a lack of supporters bar. But I do think some people get all misty eyed when it comes to interracting with the club, if you listened to some people you would think you could take a stroll down the old Meadow, pop into the managers office for a chat, go and mingle with the players before having a drink with the chairman. In reality for most fans it was the same as it was now, you'd turn up at the ground, watch the game and then go home. As for having a drink post match with the players at the pubs around town, society has changed which means players live further away but additionally they are likely to be slated on social media if they are seen in pubs. But I think the PR/community side has improved a hell of a lot this season, players are regularly seen at schools doing events, they are trying to improve the Junior Blues side and there are other events such as the meet and greet/cooking session that Mickey & Jacko did. I'm quite quick to knock the club but they are doing well on that side of things. Going back onto the original topic, its all good stuff, it really is a shame we didnt have someone like Matt Williams in the early days of the new ground.

Delayed response from me to the original post but have to say I was mightily impressed with all of the plans in place and how well Matt Williams spoke. However, as has been the case in many of his interviews, it was touched on yet again about our significant losses last year and another big loss to come this year. I think my question is - when will all these changes pay dividends? When will we turn losses into profit? As good as it is to see, I don't see any hope of a turnaround in finances at all, if anything surely these improvements are yet more added cost with installation, maintenance etc. I recall him saying he is expecting heavy losses for this season which is probably to be expected. Selling Woods and Goldson will get the club over £1.5 million which will make a huge difference. Collins,Demetriou,Grandison and a few others are young players with a bit of value too. If we start competing at a higher level then who knows how much income will rise. Losses aren't ideal but the fact is most football clubs these days make them and we are in a very stable position financially (own the stadium, good amount of cash at the bank etc) The only way I would expect the club ever to be significantly profitable would be either through the sale of assets (players or ground) or substantial cost cutting (wage budget, especially players). If playing at a higher level did it then League 1 and the Championship would be full of profitable clubs and I don't think that's the case. But I don't think it matters if we can just break even, more or less. A football club doesn't need to be profitable to thrive, it just needs to avoid big losses.

Interaction with the Club has improved measurable since we’ve moved to the NGM.
I remember trying to interact with Starkey once, blimey....
The players are also approachable, but we don’t drink with them in the Fishes, or where ever, as most live away from Salop.
As for the new kit manufacturer, consider Blackpool’s old supplier and the contacts MW has.

Davy I cant say anything further than Matt has said as we are privilege to a little more in the SP, but honestly its not STFC being a pain over this, contracts, legal issues all play a part in this sort of thing and unfortunately (more unfortunately for STFC than anyone!) - More detailed announcements will have to wait. its worth the wait though IMO. I am sure you are experienced enough not to take everything you hear at face value! The deal with the new kit supplier has not been signed off yet! Surely the Fact that Matt has said the order has been in since Christmas would suggest that the deal is done?! I'm hoping that the 2011-13 kit in the background during this interview was there in his office because he'd been looking at it for inspiration... That shirt with the new badge would be a definite buy for me!

If we have a new kit supplier then that means the West Stand needs a new sponsor?
