Not condoning this in the slightest as it is sick
But is this a result in his fellow Celtic fans and there sick taunts in the past burning poppies singing ira songs on remembrance Sunday etc
Is this a result of that and if he was for example a Yeovil fan Nowt would be said
( I'm prepared for a ban etc a backlash of hate )

I've done a lot of work with Downs Syndrome people. Lovely, lovely human beings. One of my best memories was showing them around where I worked years ago, which led to a special moment which I've regaled to friends loads of times.
But I'm afraid there's bits of dirt out there who aren't fit to lick these gentle people's boots.

Hopefully the guy will be made an example of.

While you're not condoning you do seem to be excusing this vile behaviour and connecting two totally unrelated points.

I'm a British Legion member. I can see where salop80 is coming from. I had the privilege of serving with both Catholics and Protestants. I also had to sadly attend the funeral of a Catholic Cousin a year ago, as well as a Catholic work colleague who taught me a lot about life. He was from the South of Ireland, but fought as a gunner in the RAF during the war. He stayed in England afterwards, I don't think he'd have been exactly been welcome back in Eire at the time.
I found the poppy burning repugnant, but the sad thing about our game, is that it attracts people who want to anger the opposition, whether it's skin colour, ginger hair, overweight, Welsh even!

Yeovil - Average crowd 3,500 with limited support outside of the local area.
Hence why they get negative publicity for the pro-IRA sections of there support as well as coverage for this story.
Either way its a vile comment to make about a wonderful young lad who won a 97% vote of recent goal of the month award and he was also warmly received at half time on Sat by Aberdeen fans, according to my friend who was at Parkhead (which shows how positive football can be). So suggesting that he may some how deserves abuse because he's a Celtic fan and therefore guilty by association is a bit simplistic and offensive.
Using that logic all Town fans are EBF members.

Despite the actions of this vile troll the young lad is a real gem.
Watched him collect his award at half time on Facebook and must admit it reminded me how much joy football can bring to people. The young fellows dad looked fit to bursting with pride. Was also good to see the number of Rangers fans putting positive comments on the facebook post.

I wouldn't give them the pleasure in responding, becoming a News story will have boosted their ego's no end. Probably why the stories been taken down. They should be ignored, just like the TV tries with streakers, pitch invaders and hooligans as showing it will only encourage people like this. How many have jumped on the Chelsea bandwagon with copycat you tube clips?
