AFC have inherited all the original Wimbledon's history.

The official stance from the FA about this, is that the club that won the 1988 FA Cup no longer exists.

I've always wondered is the team we defeated in 1991 classed as no longer in an existence?

Who no longer exist. I think the FA are correct, otherwise as already mentioned the DNA points to MK Dons who stole Wimbledon. Question, do the winners have a replica FA Cup to keep?

Sorry chaps, but you just cannot involve MK Dongs and Wimbledon without some sort of rape & pillage allegations. The FA's stance is by far the best solution.
MK have no history - we sang that to them often enough in the play off SF, and it's true whatever their fans would like you to think.

If things had been allowed to carry on at the original Wimbledon then there would not be an AFC, MK Dons or even a Wimbledon. They were hemorrhaging crowds being by far the worst supported in the Premier league/div 1 history. Without a home ground(AFC still have never played in Wimbledon) they would have been camping around South London outside Wimbledon looking for a suitable stadium's as they dropped down the leagues and almost certainly into oblivion and at best into the lower non-league. The MK move allowed the AFC lot to own themselves and has galvanised a support that is far more loyal and enthusiastic then those of the original Wimbledon. And has given those who like to feel superior and sing the same unoriginal song's at every opportunity an easy target in MK Dons. In an ideal world Sam Hamman and Peter Winkleman would have built a Milton Keynes football club from scratch and left Wimbledon alone to its fate, they didn't and before AFC fans get on their ''high horses'' on about what it is to be a Football Club what has being happening to Kingstonian FC since you moved into their patch and over its stadium?
