I don't think he was accused of peddling drugs was he?

It's a hard road and his life will be going downhill from now on.

Interesting interview on telly t'other week with him.
Essentially Lance hopped on the drugs as everyone else was doing it. And, so he says, if your peers are gaining an advantage which you will never surmount naturally, the only way you can compete, will be to level the playing field by taking the drugs yourself.
Cycling is still, and has been for many years, riddled with competitors taking performance enhancing drugs...

I can't believe he did it all by himself. He must have done it in tandem with some Juan else.

He always trots out the line that everybody else was doing it so he basically had no choice. Yes Lance, except (a) that's not true, (b) you bullied, lied and perjured yourself to try and keep your dirty sectets, and (c) doing something bad just because others are doing the same is no excuse (try it next time you are caught speeding on the motorway) and shows a lack of moral courage and fortitude.

Not sure if that had a bearing on his case.

Just that those sports try to keep the lid on things, at least cycling is trying to sort their problems out.

Perhaps I've been a bit hard on him. Maybe I should give him a brake.
