Anyone worked out the cheapest way of getting there by train? I posted in the other Tranmere thread about Mersey travel card that is cheaper to use from Chester than to buy a ticket all of the way to Tranmere.

I have to say £15 for adults and £9 for under 23's is great value , this should encourage a lot of town fans to go , as they do great family tickets aswell for as little as £20 .more clubs should do this ! Well done tranmere !

Really looking forward to this one. I think we'll take a very large following, and it should be a cracking day out.

One of the shortest away games this season (in the league) and I will be the other side of the country celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. Sure there will be a decent following. Enjoy folks and bring back another three points.

Anyone worked out the cheapest way of getting there by train? Shrewsbury-Chester £10.80 return and 25 per cent off for groups of 3 or more .. will have to go to Crewe to get to Chester so to avoid engineering works ... Merseyrail pass bout £4 i think so easily done for under 15 quid....

A little tip for you all too, when we play Crewe away and going by train. Buy a ticket to Chester and get off a Crewe it will save you a few quid.

Mine arrived today, really looking forward to this one.
Nice straight run down the M56/M53, fingers crossed! ... I'm glad the match is this weekend as there are major roadworks starting up again by Manchester airport later next week.
Reckon we'll take 1200, should be a cracking atmosphere.

If we sell our allocation of 1300 does anyone know if more will be available on the day seeing as the end holds 2200?

I think they would on the day, advanced sales for 1300 allocated tickets is just a guide for Tranmere I would think given the away capacity of 2200!
I dont think we would sell many more than 1200!

I dont think we would sell many more than 1200! Yes I imagine it'll be around the same as last year, maybe a few more. Still, was a good atmosphere last year so if there are a couple of hundred extra it should be great - as long as there is no disaster on the pitch. Only asking as my dad is undecided as to whether or not to go. I can't make it unfortunately as it clashes with a gig I'm going to, hopefully I'll miss a thumping win that extends our goal difference advantage!

Anyone know how many tickets have been sold? Over on STFC's Twitter account, they've said that they've sold just under 1,000 tickets so far with a few hundred left at the ticket office. Should be a great turn out, one which I sadly can't make. But I'll be tuning in on the radio at work!
