Surely should be a whopper of a gate on Saturday, a real six pointer this one. We win and we can put a 7 point gap on Southend who look a threat. If they win the gap is but a point. Need support and really win this one.

Maybe as its after payday but I wouldn't hold your breath. The fact is there are too many competing activities these days for your hard earned cash.

We're top and we're playing a team with a well known manager who are playing well. It's just after the January payday and the last home game was incredibly entertaining. We've also won our last 3 games.
All of the above I'd hope we get 5,250 home fans in at least. Southend have the 4th best away support in the league and average around 600 fans.
Gotta be a 6000+ crowd!

I can only speak for myself but once you get out of the habit of going to s match it is difficult to get it back. For me a trip on the train from Worcester plus admission, food etc it will cost me the best part of £60. By the same token I am lucky I can pick up radio Shropshire , so I can follow the live match on the radio from the comfort of my armchair and I still have my £60 of pension to spend.

Part of me hopes that it isn't a big crowd. We have a tendency to choke in front of the big gates.
Can't help but feel that we won't see the 1,000 or so stay aways come back unless we can establish ourselves in mid/upper league 1.

The current one must be well worn!

The club have done their bit. The players have been doing their bit all season long. Hopefully the big crowds now come back. Barnett is a signal of intent. We're 100% not settling for anything else than the title.

Last time we played Southend at home was on the 21st January 2012 when we were on our way to promotion and Southend were play off bound (very much as things now stand). Attendance was 5,601. Be interesting to see if we get near that this time around. Be an interesting comparison anyhows...

Can recall some 'eventful' Southend games at home since moving to the new stadium.
Recall Liam Dickinson was a talking point and that Moshni guy.
Anyone remember what they did?

I think Dickinson flattened Cansdell-Sheriff(carried off) Mohsni celebrated a late goal in front of the family stand, berated by Coughlin.
