To remember where we were on Feb 1st, 12 months ago. 1st Feb 2014To remember where we were during the summer. Where we are now - top of League 2, with a brand new squad. Whether we have splashed the cash or not, it takes other variables to play a part in producing the winning formula. Whatever happens from here on in, to be where we are this point; hats off to RW, MM, MJ and all the players. Remarkable turnaround for our club. Very proud so far!

I don't underestimate the magnificent job being done by the club this season but 12 months ago we were playing in L1 and that's where we need to get back to ASAP.

This season has been excellent and all the signs are we are putting a promotion squad together. The big test - should we go up - will be can we learn the lessons from our previous stint in league one; keep the squad together and invest in the side. Much progress has been made this season but needs to really kick on if we are to establish ourselves as a league one side

But our morale was low, we had a load of loan players who quite frankly couldn't be bothered and the club looked down and out in all aspects both on and off the pitch and we still had that bl....dy lion.
The opening poster, I am sure, is stating all the reasons why we should be better off this year - we have something we could only have dreamed of 12 months ago.

The likes of Woods & Goldson are likely to move on higher up, Mellon may well look to get rid of the likes of JLAA & Vernon as they are fringe players in a L2 side, plus of course there are squad players such as Vincent, Caton. The question of course if what state the club is in financially and whether we could compete in L1, the gates this season certainly are not helping.

Agreed, let's all take a moment and have a really long relaxed stare at the league table.......
These are the precious times when supporters of non prem clubs can really enjoy the success of the small teams they support. Through thick and thin, but predominantly thin through my lifetime of supporting Town, it's great to wake up and see us sitting top of the pile.
Well done lads and let us all get behind them next weekend against Southend.

Big game next season. I would go as far as to say a season defining match. As good as this season has been so far I feel that we have not really shone against many of the teams around us in the league (at the time that we played them) A good performance and result next week could set us up for the rest of the season. Really looking forward to it, be interesting to see how Southend play it

Success in League 1 depends on investment and keeping a squad of players together. It's very difficult to invest when similar numbers in League 1 walk through the turnstiles and keep a squad together will depend on whether MM can weave his magic.
Therefore I would suggest that the biggest investment RW can make at the end of the season is in Micky Mellon himself. Losing him would be a massive blow to us I feel.

Will prices go up next season for season and one off tickets? I'm sure they will unless we see an upsurge in attendance figures.
