For me it is the whole squad play for each other, they win and lose together. That is why i can see us winning the league and kicking on in league 1 next season. Yesterday was a good example of how close the whole squad are at the final whistle when they all celebrated together,it is really good to see.

We are gods and they are not worthy of our greatness!

A manager who is honest, doesn't whinge or slag off the opposition.

And we're so much less smug and self satisfied!

Westley gave our whole club a kick up the backside in terms of motivation.
Not that we needed it.

We arn't better than the rest. Just for this season we seem more organised, more committed with a better playing squad than we've had in a generation

Were Turner's and Fred Davies' promotion sides any less organised and committed? Turners last squad was no where near as good as this one, and Fred Davies ? I said a generation not a Millenium

Do think at this level were a reasonably big fish in a small pond which always helps
Mellon has put together a really good squad, in part down to the decent finances we have; a new ground and attendances (in some cases) 2000 plus better than other sides in the league.
True test for the squad and manager will be how we cope if/when we get back in league 1

Being a percentage fitter than the opposition has helped somewhat.

We aren't the best in this league at the moment as were second the table doesn't lie. But I do think come end of season we're be champions and therefore have a proper victory parade in town not a victory parade for coming third which was cringey

The question "What makes us better than the rest?" clearly implies that we are better. It's arrogant in the extreme, and considering we are second, not about 15 points clear at the top, pretty nonsensical.

We arn't better than the rest. Just for this season we seem more organised, more committed with a better playing squad than we've had in a generation A generation? Come off it. Were Turner's and Fred Davies' promotion sides any less organised and committed? I'm with you. They weren't less organised or any less committed. But it's one of those things with football fans isn't it. That this promotion winning side is the best side we've ever seen. More organised. More committed. And they'll remain so until the next promotion winning side comes along. Davies's Shrewsbury were a joy to watch. A superb mix of youth and experience playing the game the way I like to see it played. And not only did they get promoted they did so as 4th division champions. And you don't win championships without being organised and committed. I certainly wouldn't say they were more organised and committed than the current squad but neither would I say the current squad are more organised and committed than the '94 promotion winning side. I'd be interested to know how people could come to the conclusion either way to be honest. I love whats happening at the moment, we're in a really good place. All things look to be set for promotion. Fine and dandy if people wish to put this side on some sort of pedestal (I guess more so after the last couple of seasons) but not to the detriment of other sides we have seen down the years who have managed to get out of this division. In the 11/12 promotion season under Turner, we had 51 points after 27 games (unbeaten at home too boot). Yet fans will tell you this current side is better. Even though at the moment, the stats don't show that to be the case. They might do come the seasons end but certainly not at the minute.
