For 2015 B and A Messageboard (and the fanzine) is going throw its weight behind the Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust. At the Supporters Parliament meeting last night Jamie Edwards of the CST gave a really interesting presentation on everything the trust does, how it works and what’s its plans are in the future, plans which include the decoration of the stadium.
For me, it seems that this is the way forward is to try and support the CST for stadium decoration, but also to support the events and work they are doing, so expect to see a little more about it on B and A, as well as encouraging B and A to enter teams into some of the events. If you don’t know what they do have a look at www.stct.co.uk/. I believe a video is being produced to set out they good work being undertaken.
B and A has always had a great community of folks ready to be involved in supporting good causes so hopefully we can continue this when its something that’s as close to home as you can get.
The Supporters Parliament will be putting out a message in more detail of the plans for how they will work with the CST on projects (such as stadium decoration), but I just wanted to put it out there that B and A (messageboard and fanzine) are right behind the plan/events and the CSTs work in the community.
As a start there are two events coming up this year as part of the true Shrew Challenge which should be up the street of B and A members and we should get involved in.
The first is
CST 2015 Charity Golf Day – 22nd May 2015
Will put a post up about this seeing if we can get a team together.
The second is
CST Big Bike Ride 2015 – 25th April 2015
This is a challenge to ride from our ground to Cheltenhams (90 miles) approx on the last game of the season. Any budding bike riders out there who would be interested in that?
