Sure this has been asked before and the family who owns it have put it on long term loan to the national footy museum.

Well they must have changed their minds then.

My understanding was it was donated back to the club. See link.
My view FWIW, is that the coracle should be displayed in reception. It's a unique part of our history. I regret not buying it at the time now.

Smashing. Thanks for that. I remember them donating it back on the pitch. I think Keith Sayfritz received it on behalf of the club.

Couldn't you have smuggled it into your boot and brought it home?
I certainly don't remember the buyers asking it to be sent to a museum up north. If I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected.
If anyone is in contact with the owners, perhaps they could ask them.

I was tempted to sneak it out and onto the train with us, of course ;-)
I actually had to ask a member of staff where it was, weirdly. They had it hidden down a flight of stairs on a podium thing in a corner.

With regards to the Loggerheads coming back and with the obvious influx of supporters into the club shop to buy replica merchandise, is there feasibility of conducting an environmental survey of what supporters would like to see with the rightful crest on?
Pens, car stickers, tops, t-shirts etc are all the norm, but with something that is going to be hugely popular, perhaps expanding and providing something different which would also be bought.
Just having a quick look through the gift ideas online at the shop (all 8 of them online, aware that there may be more within the shop, but as I'm not local anymore I can't comment) and I could start by saying:
Towels, Street Signs saying Oteley Road etc, key caps etc.
Some may not be financially appropriate to make and sell but there could be a couple of nuggets there if the supporter base is canvassed wide enough, you never know, someone might come up with a individual item which might prove quite successful.
Just saying loike...

Can we ask about the success of the shop in town and what they learnt from it? Is it realistic to have a permanent one?
If they are realistically looking into it, can we ask them to into what the fans want from it so its done properly.

In regards to the new badge, could the club start using it on the website, and social media icons. I realise we need to wait for the new kit and other merchandise, but could it be used on the website and in match day programmes?

How about making a retro shirt? the 77/78 shirt with the diamonds would be a really good seller.

The diamonds are protected by umbro.
As for the new badge, whether we like it or not the lion is our badge for this season, our shirts carry that badge so does our stadium. The club have already started bringing out merchandise with the new badge..... Next season is a clean start, new badge, new shirt and hopefully league one football.

Surely we could speak to Umbro, The club could get Umbro to re make it.

Think we looked into it with the trust. The big companies want runs of hundreds if not thousands of shirts to do anything bespoke we just would not sell enough.

A discussion about pricing of new badge merchandise would be good. Take something like a polo shirt for me it is better to price them at £20 or under rather tham going for between £25 and £30. I know personally I would buy two at the lower price but only one at the higher price. Considering you can get them produced at around £7 two sales making profit of £26 is better than one sale making £23. Not just only takings but higher chance of customers buying a wider range of items

A question for Alan Robert (not sure if he attends) but can we ask why in recent home games there has regularly been a policeman at the bottom of the away end with a camera filming blocks 18 & 19. I cant remember the game (possibly Wycombe) but it became almost comical with them positioning themselves in the far corner between the North & East stands behind the bins in order to film.
I know there will be an argument as to if you dont do anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about but I'd love to know the justification for it.

How about monitoring fans breaking the rules... standing in a designated seated area and rushing to the front when we score with many near accidents on the steps...

Quote possibly, but if they are looking to clamp down on things like standing it seems a strange approach. What are they planning to do with the filming they have been doing, ban people? Warn people? As I said just trying go understand the reason behind it.
