He may be ok or maybe not. I assume that in their position it may be difficult to attract the type of manager that they would like. I do wonder if their directors have a clue on how to run a football club. I believe the people they had lined up when they sacked Watson, quickly made it clear that they weren,t interested.

Congratulations to AFC Telford United on recruiting an individual who has been sacked by the mighty Guiseley.
A truly impressive recruitment campaign.

When Telford get relegated the best candidate to get them back up is the chap they just sacked.

They may be better staying as a big fish in the Conf North Pool, rather than being a minnow in the mainly full time Conference a Premier.

Or we could all just wish him good luck and success. Success for them, us and all other Shropshire teams must be good in the long run.

What next? Wishing well to Wrexham, Walsall and Wolves. Also, Telford chose not to be in Shropshire, preferring Telford and Wrekin.

Lets be honest eh!! when we were 91st in the football league, Chester were 92nd, with Kevin Ratcliffe as manager, we managed to prise him away, Ironic as he was managing the only team doing worse than us!!

Another one that should know the sort of level they are going back down to, will the same thing happen again when / if they get promoted again?

Let's be even more honest. We didn't prise Ratcliffe away from Chester. He left them nearly 3 months before coming to us after falling out with their owner with just a couple of games played in the season so several teams didn't have many points at that stage.

It goes to show what their real ambition is as this recruitment is more a plan for next season in the league below rather than an attempt to stay in their current division. Telford currently do not have the financial clout or infrastructure to sustain Conference National football let alone League football even with input from Telford & Wrekin Council. In fairness the board have done a great job getting them where they are since the demise of the 'old' club, but I think are now out of their depth and need some new faces.
