watching man city game and an obvious penalty to city and the rules say straight red. IMO penalty is enough with a yellow card. it just ruins the game with present rules. far too severe. thoughts?

Another poor showing from J Hart, his positioning is woeful at times.

Fair rule !if yellows were dished out for last man challenges you would see people being hacked down all the time outside of the box . They need to clamp down on people "taking one for the team aswell" . You see it all the time . The only one I have ever seen get a red for it was Rooney earlier in the season .

A good case for an extra coloured card for a 15 minute sin bin penalty or offending team only allowed 3 defenders behind the ball when free kick taken instead of being able to martial their defence after a blatant case of cheating.

If it's committed in the 18 yard box a yellow and penalty is sufficient...but outside the box a goalscoring chance = sending off.
That way any defender wanting to make the proffesional foul will have to wait until inside the 18 yard area to avoid being sent off resulting in a penalty.

I know we are all amateurs, and therefore know " jack- s**te" about the professional game, supposedly. But, how many of us watching the game last night knew exactly where the free kick was to be hit. To me it was obvious, the big space to Harts left was crying out to be hit. Sorry Joe, but you should have seen that one coming. Let's not forget his save in the first 10 mins when a certain goal was on the cards. As always with keepers, we forget the good bits but remember the mistakes.
