All this week the wife has had little or no 3 mobile phone coverage?
She works on the Battlefield Park close to Burnt Tree. Everywhere else it's fine just in North Shrewsbury there appears to be an issue?
Previously she's had good coverage but this week it's been awful?
Anyone else got issues?

Bell Vue, Meole, Town Center/Abby Forgate and driving around, my 3 coverage has been perfect all week. Massively better than O2 in comparison to my wife this week (no signal at all on London Road).

Admittedly none of that is north Shrewsbury though.

Admittedly none of that is north Shrewsbury though. Everywhere else the signals fine, as soon as she heads down Ellesmere Road it kicks back in. Think I'll phone them and see what's going on?

Told they are currently updating local masts to 4g before end of year.

Mobile phone signal is dogs**te in Shropshire on a whole, it's a joke that u can only get 4g in one town and Saturday I had full 3G signal but still couldn't use the mobile internet...it's a joke!! EE are the worst culprits, total muppets and I can't wait to get shot when my contracts up!!

If it helps I ran from bell vue to the top of Haughmond, and then back through Harlscott to town and signal was fine all day Sunday, enough to steam live commentary off the net of the grand Prix. M

There seems to be somewhat of a 3 mobile blackspot where I work, which is just on Archers Way up by the Alan Ward warehouse. However if I walk on to the main road at the roundabout where Rowlands Veg. place is it works completely fine. Went about a week without a signal up there until it came back on Saturday morning. It's happened before and last time I rang to complain they gave me £10 off my bill. Worth doing if you haven't done already. I assume it's to do with a faulty phone mast or something.

I picked up a 4g signal on EE last Tues at the Meadow Me too, but the meadow and Parts of Telford aside it's rubbish. My mate works for EE in shrews and he told me that the only store in the entire UK that doesn't have a 4G signal and fibre optic broadband is the shrews one and Shropshire is regarded by head of telecoms in the UK as a mobile data blackspot with only mid Wales and parts of Scotland worse.

I think that EE dropped the speed of the 3g slightly since launching 4g. I would've moved to Three but people on here weren't to enamoured with it. Plus if you look at the maps out towards mid Wales EE is the best.

Had a meeting with EE a few weeks ago and they said some of the masts in Shropshire run old technology, and while they are gradually upgrading them, when they switch they can be a gap where 3G goes, hopefully to be replaced by a better more reliable 4G signal
Some more rural parts of Shropshire will always struggle to get good mobile though due to the hills and valleys and other ways of bouncing the signal round in those areas are needed
Will be interesting to see if the BT and O2 deal sees BT get more into the mobile market

Blimey, BT rumoured to be buying either O2 or EE.
