They could stay at the premier inn on Sunday and Monday night and then train at Sundorne on the Monday. Even better train at either Sundorne or Grange school for some good PR.

The poor thing, it must be such a difficult life....... Try working with an actual budget Jose, then you could have a proper whine about real football problems! How many players has he got? Most of which are worth more than our team put together and trebled! And half of them are worth more than our stadium. So forgive me if I cant shed a tear for your "problems" and forgive me for losing a little respect for you too.

I feel desperately sorry for Ho Say personally. After a visit to Owd Trafford, he's got a Terry Fying long haul trip to Greenhous Meadow, with a paper thin 58 man squad, and then be entertained with a cheap 50 quid bottle of Portuguese plonk.

In fairness I think we all expected the game to be on the Wednesday when the draw was first made!
Don't know if there are rules on fielding weak sides or not but would suggest we're unlikely to see very few of Chelsea's first team squad when we play them

Not the first time he has been unhappy with the scheduling and he's certainly not the only manager who has had moan about fixtures being moved about to suite the likes of Sky. So he does have a point. The TV companies do seem to have a fair amount of influence when it comes to the fixture list. But saying that, I guess its those huge TV deals that have helped Chelsea become the force that they now are (and given them the funds to stock so many decent players)...
So he has a point but not too much sympathy. Chelsea will be playing on the Sunday granted but if they so choose they have the luxury of being able to field a completely different starting 11 that they know will be more than capable of winning the game. We'll be playing on the Saturday but simply don't have that luxury. So despite what he says, come Tuesday I suspect it'll be Chelsea's starting 11 that will be the fresher of the two...
Mind games? No. I just think Mourinho likes to try and make out that his job is a lot more difficult than it really is (considering the club he manages is able to spend a shed load more money than the vast majority of clubs in England)...

I,m hoping that the club can forge good relationships with Chelsea. If we play football the way we have been playing, which, regardless of the result has been the best football played by a Town team for many seasons, we may impress the Chelsea staff enough to consider us as a club good enough to loan players to. They have a raft of players loaned out to clubs all over Europe. I,m not talking about reserve team players, but those maybe in the youth teams or development squads.
One can but hope. Anything would be better than a player with connections to Hereford.

As soon as the game was confirmed for a Tuesday then I think it was likely that Chelsea would field a weaker side than the one against Bolton.

If he feels he needs the same squad as he will field against Utd to play against us tuesday that doesn't show much confidence in his reserves.
He would have a more of a point if he was playing Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City but he's playing a mid table team from division two.
It can only mean that he is already justifying playing a second eleven for this game to rest first teamers.
Gives us a better chance but I think we're going to do well to get any further in this competitiion now.

What Jose and his ilk never seem to get is that, whilst they might be employed directly by their clubs, television is their ultimate employer.
Fans have every right to complain about rescheduled games and daft kick off times, managers and players don't. That's the business they're in; the paymaster gets to decide and pays them very, very well for their minor inconveniences.
So just get on with it and spare us the self-indulgent bleating. If it's that bad, you could always stay in the sport you love by dropping to a level where TV doesn't dictate so much.

As easy as it is to be cynical towards the manager of one of the richest clubs in the world and who is renowned for his mind games, he is right. If we were asked to play two games on Sunday & Tuesday we wouldnt be happy so you cant blame him for being the same.
Of course understanding his complaints and having any sympathy is a different matter, especially when they have 26 players out on loan

We might not be happy about it but I feel that MM would just shrug his shoulders and say OK that's the way it is, lets get on with it. Also if this were to happen to us, it would be due to television which would mean more money to spend in the future.
It is the reason I don't have any interest in the Premier League apart from a quick look to see how Everton are doing. The moaning, wingeing, back biting, histrionics and everything else just get on my pip. It may be the way they make their money but come on at the end of the day it is only a game of football.
Get over it Jose.

We'd only be asked to play Sunday and Tuesday if TV demanded it. But TV doesn't want to show two games featuring the same lower league team so it's never going to happen to us. It goes with the territory for the clubs at the top. They're more than adequately compensated for that occasional problem by the massive amounts television pays them and it's worth noting that money enables them to afford to overpay a squad big enough to field two Premier League teams. If that doesn't give them sufficient playing strength to play two games in three days they should be asking themselves why not, instead of expecting the watching public to be gullible enough to have any sympathy for them. Tell you what Jose, tell Sky to reduce my subscription costs and squander a bit less of my cash on bloated Premier League clubs and I'll join you on the barricades demanding a fairer schedule. Until then, pipe down.
