Not surprised big Nigel dropped the nails that we ran rings round. He sounded well p**sed off in his interview after the game. We had a few drinks and a bit of banter with some Luton fans in the evening after our match, (which we all thoroughly enjoyed), because that's what football is all about in my very humble 4th division opinion, not about who can act like Berty Big Bollox.
But if you enjoy that sort of thing, off you jolly well go, but it isn't for me.
Pearson was glad we picked up no injuries...that was the priority from the match...the result was secondary.
He said after the Chelsea game that he wanted to win the match, but would make many changes, which he did, and ultimately, as expected, we lost.
The difference is....our lads can compete with the biggest sides in the country, whilst yours cannot.
We were beating arsenal at the emirates only a couple of seasons ago, so again your final comment is flawed.

I don't call these stats competing: Leicester City Arsenal Possession 31% 69% Shots 9 24 On target 3 6 Corners 5 10 I thought you were the home side? If Arsenal had a striker you would have been blown away. Run along now and enjoy your backs to the wall draw and your one season in the Premier League.

So what your saying is that any injuries to Leicester's first 11 and their back up players aren't good enough to compete against a league 2 side, and had to throw the game mid week? Very worrying for Leicester that to have such a week squad? How come they are so short of players? Personally think if Salop played a side three leagues below us we have such a strong squad now we could play a different starting 11 and still win the game.
You weren't playing our 'back-up' players....you were playing their 'back-up'.
James and drinkwater are our first choice center mids, cambiasso, king and Hammond are our back-up center mids.....cain and kennedy are their back-up and have never made a league appearance.....
Ulloa is currently our main striker...his back up is Vardy....and his back up is Wood.
Albrighton and schlupp are our wide players.....knockaert and mahrez are their 'back up'.
morgan and moore are our center halves....upson and wasilewski are their 'back up'.
Pearson's son is 5th choice right back....
So basically you played 3 first teamers....4 'back-up' players....and 4 'back-up' to our 'back-up' players.....
Anyway...we basically changed the whole 11 and outplayed arsenal...but enjoy such a victory against the 'mighty Leicester'.
Do yourself a favour and Fcuk Off!

I'm certainly learning a lot of useless knowledge about Leicester City. Unfortunately, lcfcgrewks is one of those self-absorbed Premier League fans who know nothing about football outside their own club.
I just wish he would get one thing through is thick skull. The total worth of that so-called back-up team was at such a level it could probably have bought not only our team many times over but our stadium, in fact the whole club, as well. Most Leicester City fans get that, shame he can't.

Grewks:
This may come as a shock to you, but many of us, apart from those who admire Arsenal as our "PL Like", were happy that you played well and a point from the match against the Gunners. In fact we would have been happy had you won.
That is partly due to to a very British fondness for an underdog, and also because there is a profound dislike that an elite band of mega-rich clubs can buy their way to the Crown with silly money, monopolise the media and turn top third of the Premier League into an inclusive Super_Premier_League, leaving the rest of the teams with only survival as a prize. (Although actually Arsenal are less guilty of those charges than others.)
But importantly, we do have a long-standing fond link with Leicester due to the legend that is Arthur Rowley. Now you have probably never heard of him, but he is the all time football league record goalscorer (434 in 619 games) and still holds (probably for ever) the most goals scored in a season both for you(44) and us(42).
At the start of his career, he played briefly for WBA and Fulham, but after that was a two-club man, yours and ours.
So thanks to Big Arthur, we do have that bond with Leicester City.
However you, single-handedly, are almost succeeding in destroying that fondness with your pathetic, ungracious baby-like behaviour. On the day we deservedly beat you on your own ground. We outplayed you, we won, we earned the plaudits. Get over it.
If a team from the Northern Premier league, the Southern Football League or the Isthmian League (all three tiers beneath us) came to us and beat us, and indeed outplayed us on our home ground, even if we had 8 or 9 bench and reserve team players in our side, we would have congratulated them... not come up with excuses.
However, although it may have been possible in the past, it wouldn't now happen, because our squad, apparently unlike yours, is so strong in depth, we would have dominated them, whatever XI turned out, and won comfortably. But if the unthinkable had happened and they had outplayed us... yes we would have done some soul searching... but we wouldn't whine, blubber, come up with feeble arguments and try to belittle their achievements.
Now onwards! Leicester played well against Arsenal... (perhaps Pearson sat them down and made them watch the video of the whole Leicester v Shrewsbury game... so they could see how good football should be played)... and they clearly learned well and earned their point.
We hope that it continues and you have a good season and stay in the PL. Obviously you won't win the FA Cup, because the players have been instructed to throw that game too. But we hope you have a good season.
You do of course have every right to slag off Shrewsbury Town, but do it on your own board: not on here. Just as if we were inclined to slag off Leicester, which we have no reason to do, we would do it here, not on a Fox's Message Board.
It's called etiquette. Don't they teach you that at school. Oh I forgot... you've been excluded.

As other lcfc posters pointed out, grewks is an outcast on his own message board. I think we've seen more than enough to understand why that might be.
Not sure why anyone should celebrate a couple of draws and a defeat quite so much though. Isn't that even more surprising than a League 2 team celebrating a cup win at a (possibly temporary) Premier League ground?
Good advice from Fred - pay attention grewks.

If you watched the game.....why are you posting pointless stats which show nothing of any use with regards to the game.
For example...Schmeichel made 1 save during the 90 minutes I can remember from sanogo, yet according to those statistics arsenal had 6 shots on target.
Reaction from....
5 live commentator and Robbie savage - "Leicester will be disappointed they have not won the game" Jamie Redknapp - "Leicester had the better chances" Neil Lennon - "Arsenal were frustrated out there, and in the second half Leicester should have won it" Martin keown - "Leicester were excellent and created the better chances of the two sides". Arsene Wenger - "We are disappointed we have not won, but we could have lost it."

Do yourself a favour and Fcuk Off! Give the chap a break. Relegated?
We will finish about 12th.
It is funny that you find my posts 'amusing'....yet some guy claimed after beating us your side would 'take league 1 right now'.
Winning a cup game is one thing, but that is like us claiming we can challenge the champions league now given our performances against Chelsea, arsenal and everton.
Another interesting post was from one guy saying that 'Premier league/championship sides tend to stand off more to see what you can do with the ball'. Wrong - Just watch our 3 league games this season compared to the cup game, we were in the faces of our PL opponents, but we let you have the ball because we were playing at 30-40%.

4 players that would be in our starting 11 if fit, with knockaert making the bench.....
We were playing the strongest side arsenal could have put out...likewise it was our strongest and we more than matched them.
Our 4 players would have made as much of an impact as their 4 players.

What about if leicester had 'a defensive midfielder'? 'There first 3 choice midfielders'? 'Our first choice striker'? If you watched the game you would realize the stats were meaningless, and has every media outlet has said we created the better chances to win the match. The job of a striker is to finish chances, it was Arsenal's creativity which let them down not their finishing. As for the 10 men behind the ball comment...did Bayern not do that to Barcelona when they won the champions league? Let the opposition have the ball and counter with pace? We didn't park the bus, we had a tactic to win the ball back as quick as possible and break quickly...on another day we win the match comfortably with the chances and opportunities we had.

I was just mentioning that we were 3-4 key players short as were they. Cambiasso may be past it, we are yet to see. But I can tell you didn't watch him last season, because if you did you would come to the conclusion that he still has a lot to offer, considering he played more games than he has in every season on average since joining inter, scoring just as many goals on average. Playing in the position he plays, Makelele played until his late thirties, so i can see cambiasso doing the same.

Cambiasso is after one last big paycheck Leicester after not winning a game yet are the only Club desperate enough to pay it. Most sensible Club's realised this policy rarely works years ago. Anyway why do you dismiss a competition that brought your Club it's greatest glory and turned MON into a legend?
