h/pools solitary win was last week at wombles and today held fellow high fliers Cheltenham for 90 mins away. not to be underestimated Town.

Just curious AJ, why do you abbreviate Hartlepool to H/Pool but spell Cheltenham out in full even though it has the same amount of letters?

Roll on this one. Get my first chance to check out our new look side.
Also hoping to eradicate the memories of my last trip to H/Pool. Quite possibly the most painful away day I've ever experienced.

Even though H/pl held out for 90 minutes against Ch/hm... I don't expect them to be able to repeat the same feat against Sh/by next week.
Does anybody know if there is a direct match train from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch to H/pl on Saturday?

Just ask for a ticket on the Sheep Shaggers Special. It's the one with the very clean windows!

No there isn't. You have to change at John O'Groats.

Hartlepool is very long way from that London but, on investigation, I see that there are (a few) direct trains from Kings Cross with a mere 3 hour journey time.
Even better, one of the trains gets there 35 mins before kick-off, and the ground is a 10-15 min walk from the station.
Better still, there's a direct train back within an hour of final whistle.
And, as a final clincher, there's a minimalist ale bar on platform one of Hartlepool station.
I bought my tickets immediately.
