Seriously, how on earth is he playing for us?
Anyone hear him on Radio Shropshire after the game?
Full of praise for Mickey Mellon, very humble, all about the team, very mindful he has been given a chance. Chuffed with our fans backing on Tuesday.
I thought he was untouchable today. Set pieces. Tricks. Pass and move. Two goals. Tracking back.
He is so much more influential in the middle, and you can see Wesolowski and Woods just love having a better short pass just in front of them all the time.
A quite outstanding performance for me today, as was Tuesday.

He's got better and better since the start of the season and really does suit the CAM position that he's in at the moment. He was absolutely everywhere today!
Need to get him onto a longer contract than the current 1 year he has at the moment!

In recent seasons we've tried Taylor, Wildig and Bradshaw in that role with little/no success. He just seems like he was made for it.

He is looking a fantastic acquisition and getting better all the time. His running, movement, passing, and set piece delivery is really good.
Definitely has great ability and the attitude to go with it. He wants to do well and prove himself. An excellent signing by Mellon.
If he carries on in this vein, an extended contract should be on the table at Christmas.
The thing I like about this team and squad is that they could also do well in league 1. (Hoping we get there!)

I can't have been the only one underwhelmed when we signed a player released from Barnsley who had spent some of last season on loan at national joke Hyde United.
What a signing though, a truly two-footed player.
My only minor criticism which I have mentioned before is that I wish when he gets past players, he would leave them behind him rather than giving them the opportunity to get back in position before trying to get round them again.
I think that has a lot to do with how confident the lad is right now, and he has every reason to be.

He’ll be sold long before Woods.

I wouldn't wait til Christmas - new deal ASAP! His quality is there to see, easily good enough to be playing in League 1 and quite how Barnsley can afford to release him is beyond me. He still has plenty of time to improve as a player, as well. By far and away our best signing this summer, and considering nobody would have said anything other than "looked good, but do we need him" when we signed him then MM deserves a lot of credit for that. Hopefully he is sufficiently grateful to MM to stick around if he gets better offers this summer - I can't really see him getting a new deal as soon as we'd all like.

We've only seen a few games but it's enough - give him another year on his contract now

Yes definitely. We've got a very decent squad for league two and a half decent one for league one. On Tuesday night at leicester it dawned on me that in reality that's a league one team beating a championship side.

I tell you what there are a few players out there today who are better than this league. Compare the entire team to Luton's, now I thought Luton were a fair side but in my opinion there is more than one league between them. 6-0 would not have flattered us today.

A silly thing to say, but it is such a shame that we had to go down before we rebuilt. GT is a legend, but he should have stuck to his original plan to retire a year or two ago.
As for Clark, that's got to go down as Barnsley letting one slip through their fingers.

Clark was outstanding today, and looks way too good for this division.

Clark was outstanding today, and looks way too good for this division. It is especially at the front of the three of them. In the middle and with Weso and Woods snapping at anything within a 30 yard radius - then they always have a short forward pass to feet.

Whoever it was at Barnsley that decided that a 20-year old with Clark's ability deserved to be released ahead of a League One campaign needs bloody shooting!

The longer version ont he radio / shrewsplayer is better - when he starts thanking Mellon for giving him a chance.
Comes across as a thoroughly likeable chap.

For those who have contracts that expire in the summer we need to decide before Christmas and get them tied in asap - I have more confidence in the new back office to get this sorted.

Me and my friend dave was speaking to his agent the day of his trial in pre season and he was telling us jordan almost ended up going to man city when he was at Barnsley. This lad is class, he works so hard on and off the ball. He reminds me a little bit of mark pugh.

Hello, Barnsley fan in peace.
Its great to read such positive comments about Clark. I was disappointed when he was released in the summer and it was a shame that he was never really given much of an opportunity in our first team setup. He always impressed me when I had the opportunity to see him play for our academy. He was very much the playmaker and the ideal number 10 and looked on par with the likes of John Stones who eventually went to Everton for 3 million. Its funny how football works but a talent like Clark just needed games and I hope he makes his way up the footballing ladder!

He's been great!! The ideal addition to the woods/weso combo in midfield But, if he did go... Or if any of the others were to leave, I now have much much more confidence in the club to bring in a quality replacement

Jordan isn't 21 until later this month. If he's got any sense, (And I'll bet he has), he'll stay here and learn from MM. Clearly enjoying his time at the Greenhous.

Anyone who saw the way he ran through Chesterfield's midfield and defence as a trialist should have been far from underwhelmed when we signed him. Consistently excellent from the start and still improving.
Absolutely great signing.
