A bit of a mess at the moment. Felt like a accident waiting to happen forcing fans to walk back to their cars/houses in the dark, in the middle of the road with only low plastic barriers separating us from oncoming traffic. The wider pavements will be most welcome but is there going to be any more lighting along that stretch?

Highways and the contractor are the ones to address this issue with.

I'm fairly sure the plans include new lighting from Sutton Road junction up to the new housing estate that is being built, and on the other side there will be new lighting around the junction to the new Waitrose/garden centre
Not 100% certain if the stretch from the housing estate to the ground includes new lighting but the application is on line on the planning section of the council website and details should be on there.
First part of some major developments in that part of town. Next stage will be expansion of the retail park

Even those blocks holding up the barriers are, with possibly no alternative, sticking out ready to trip someone up when it's dark and congested.

A bit OT, But it's always baffled me why the "Super Blues way" is soo narrow, and the entrance soo small.

Anyone remember what it was like coming out of the narrows onto the English Bridge after a bigger than average crowd? Is this any worse than that?
