Dear oh dear, looked poor for Doncasters goals v Yeovil.

He looked poor for a few of the goals he conceded for us in his final games. Not helped by what was in front for sure, but flapped a few crosses and poor decision making. Hope he comes through it as he proved in his first season with us that he is a capable keeper.

Marvellous in his first season for us, but lived off reputation alone in the second imo.

Haven't we been here before?
Just hoping that too many of us won't be missing him too much throughout the course of the season.
Our two rookies between the sticks are a bit of a gamble but hopefully MM's mantra of 'improving players' will see us okay.

Thought Weale was badly at fault for one of the goals but not the other two

He might have made a mistake, however, he's still playing for a league 1 club. Meanwhile Joe Anyon doesn't have a club yet

Didn't he start both seasons with us quite poorly? Seem to recall the criticism that he was slow getting down to shots. Now he seems to have added an ill-judged keeper-sweeper element to his game (though he did it for us last season as well)!
Fine keeper and seems a decent fella too, so I hope it's just another slow start and he comes through it.

Well if they want to take one of our keepers in a swap I wouldn't be upset.

I don't particularly give two hoots about how many goals he was responsible for, or indeed how many worldies he makes, he is ex player now, time to move on!!

Nothing wrong with keeping tabs on ex players a lot of us wanted to keep downie Mon. If he flops its great business, If he has a great season and gets signed by a championship club then it wasn't so good business I'm interested to find out which it is.

One game gone and people are now slating him. I love it. Do we have to mention all our ex players after every game? Our striker scored two goals and Tom Bradshaw scored one and people already moaning. I mean, he's been consistently horrific for town and had brief spells where he's looked alright, very brief. And one goal apparently means it was a mistake letting him go. Move on pplz.

Agree about Bradshaw . He has looked poor for us and I'm glad we've replaced him . With weale I think he was one of the best keepers we had for some years , but he's gone. Football fans have short memories (Me included), James Collins deleted his twitter after getting pelters from town fans for leaving , Saturday around 550 of us were cheering his goals .

Well if they want to take one of our keepers in a swap I wouldn't be upset. Weale is no more than an average low league keeper and I am happy to stick with the keepers we have now, I certainly would not want him back!

When Weale first signed is mobility seemed to be a real problem. The longer he was with us, the fitter he became and his all round game got better and better. I think give it a few weeks and he will be back to being League 1's best keepers.

He's no longer part of our club, does it really matter if he is woeful or brilliant unless playing against us of course. I can't really believe he is woeful though because of the comments on B & A when he was released.

Fran I wasn't slateing anyone, I would just prefer weale here because I know how good he is. Our new keepers might be better but at least we know how good weale is. My comment was .

Did anybody stay up late to watch the league cup show last night ? If so , you would have seen weale at it again! It got worse this time as a mix up with the defender allowed the striker in to score ! A must see !

Artur Krysiak played in goal for Yeovil against Gillingham.Chris Weale was an unused substitute.

Can't say I am surprised.......I recall getting quite some grief from this message board when I did criticise him. Always felt he was no more than an average at best lower league keeper and I would not have him back now!

Weale had a fantastic first season for us and was probably instrumental in keeping us up that season... second season not so good! Looks like moving back to his home town club has backfired for him so far.
