Was very impressed last night by the way that they got me to part with my money ! Entry price of £8, OK absolutely fine, friendly game and an excellent little ground, no qualms with that. Car Parking a fiver for a tiny bit of waste land next to the away terrace on which they managed to probably park 60 odd cars and 2 coaches, nice little revenue earner...with the amount of land at The GM surely we can do something ?,even if its only to offer away supporters parking behind the away stand Programme £3 !!!,always have to get a programme at an away match. Very clever as it was one programme to cover all 3 of their home friendlies, but I didn't particularly want to read up on the squads or alltime Top 4 teams of Birmingham City or Cheltenham. Clever trick to use 2 nice looking young ladies standing together to sell the programmes and the 50/50 tickets...yep I got fleeced a quid for one of them as well....did I win?..God knows the PA was worse than at The GM. Chuck in a bite to eat and a coffee, well it's Kiddy isn't it ? reknowned for their catering,so you just have to,can't be helped etc etc.. Result £8 for entry and £13 on extras...think its the first time in my life that I've ever spent more on the extras than on the entry cost...all credit it to them, all done with a welcoming smile...I was half way home before I realised how much I had actually spent at a cheap pre season friendly

However, the catering was excellent - cottage pies to die for!!! I think they were on a good thing with the programmes as I certainly couldn't remember the names of our own team, let alone theirs!!!!!

Certainly shows how bad our catering is! When Jenny started the cottage pies were very tasty and a bit different but the one I bought Saturday was very dry, obviously cooked then re heated for too long giving the impression you've got no choice so quality out the window... At Kiddy they're £4.50 but fantastic... Twice the size, full of veg as well as meat and so tasty.... On a match day they do home made curry and chips, home made sweat and sour pork and of course home made soup to die for and plenty more with people who seem to care serving you and this hasn't just happened was the same 10 years ago.... Come on Jenny pull your finger out or even better why don't the club do the catering and make some real profit we've got a chef and kitchen crew there all week so wouldn't cost too much just make them work for their pay

Better watch your salt intake with that 'sweat & sour'.

As with the guys at Morecambe as well surely with the catering crew on site all week they could be kept busy by making all this stuff that with hopefully better quality would encourage more sales?
It's been noticeable over the last couple of years how the amount of people using the buffets has fallen..............

There was a pay and display machine but nobody bothered to feed it.

I parked at the ground and while I know I could have saved a fiver, I am always more than happy to put some money into non-league coffers. Pity the rich Premier League don't feel the same!

The HotDog I had was top! Much better than at ours and the guys serving we're actually very pleasant!! Couldn't believe it!
The cottage pie was style over substance. Big yes, but mostly quite weak mash and carrots, not a lot of meat in mine.
(Yes I ate both!!! I was hungry ok !!!!)
I always used to get one of the anemic ones served at GM, (even though the top is hardly ever crisped up) but stopped as I had a hair and once a fly in the bottom of the tray.
I find Jenny's burgers are very poor. The meat is over worked and very hard and what's with the vile herbs they add?? Not really what you want at the footy in my view.

I'm sure Jenny pays more attention to her corporate clients than those at the stadium which is a short sighted way of going about business cos I wouldn't recommend her based on what is served up at the GM..... We want better grub ! Perhaps something for the FP if there's ever another meeting ?

Had cottage pie last time we played them in a PSF, a superb offering, oozing meat with a crisp topping. Yesterday I went for the basic coffee, but could'nt resist the large, dripping in onions, hot-dog. Very nice too. Remember them serving up curry last time, looked really good, but no sign of one this time. Must admit the food is superb quality, much better than ours.( although Jenny's. Pastie's are top notch. ) look forward to seeing them in the League again, when I would have a go at the hot-dog, cottage pie and curry combo. I like me food, surprisingly I still retain my slim, muscle toned , ironing board physique, especially being over 50.

Jenny's has gone hugely down hill since we started i think.
Plus in the west stand especially the queuing was so bad for so long that people seem to have given up altogether, make other arrangements or arrive later.

Plus in the west stand especially the queuing was so bad for so long that people seem to have given up altogether, make other arrangements or arrive later. The first season it was a novelty to have baguettes, freshly made burgers, home made cottage pies etc. Since then the quality has got worse as the prices have gone up It may sound minor but during the Watford game I asked for a bottle of Coors but they didn't have any (not the end of the world). But a woman shouts to me to say you can't get bottle of Coors anymore, if that is true (which is debatable!!) why are they advertised?

The cost of their "meal deals" are obscene.
It is like a motorway service station but without the seats, or the tables, or the warmth...
To think Mal Whitrick sold it to us as a place to hang out with friends and watch the scores come in after the game. I'd would rather be sat at the bus stop with my phone, at least I'd have a seat.

Aside from some notable exceptions food at football grounds is pretty terrible and over priced. Shrewsbury food is probably just in the average setting
When the new Greggs opens on the Meole retail park we could well see more fans buying food there, and probably a good time for Jenny's to review their menus and prices. At Greggs (and they are far from the best) you can get a sandwich/sausage roll and a drink for a couple of quid.

Irrespective of the quality of food, the queue time under the west stand is ridiculous. Talk about wasted sales opportunity, god knows how many people give up or no longer bother to try during bigger games.

Had a horrific pie and horrific baguette from there a couple of years back and never ate there again.
In fairness, their space looks limited, and they have the beer queues sorted better now. But to be honest, I have a serious gripe with those s**tty little tellies they stuck up.
Would love some kind of tented village concept to be given a go.

They got planning permission for a new unit last December for a hot and cold food establishment on the retail park so either Greggs or Subway. Think it's going in where Blockbusters was, or possibly in the new unit that's gone up by Halfords Also a Costa coffee cafe now in the new Next, and I think there is a suggestion M&S might be looking to open a food outlet where the old Next was, so soon to be number of food choices on the retail park, which Jenny's and the club need to take note of

I was under the impression that the M&S Food outlet was going in the Carphone warehouse unit. I must be mistaken.

our ground and surrounds have been under used since we moved. i fully back the CEO to maximise every bit of income. and there is so much wasted areas that could be used for parking, particularly away supporters. i would pay a fiver to park, so convenient.
i cannot comment on the catering, but some competion from some mobile fast food caravans would provide extra income. £2 for a bag of chips.
Matty Williams has much work to do to increase income for the club, our ideas will doubtless help. we need further development near the ground asap as soon as possible including a large pub. the "Wycherley Tavern" has a ring to it. Floreat Salopia! AJ Devon
