Would there be much point in signing these guys if you wouldn't even play them in the first eleven Strangely enough Woods and Wildig showed enough class to ply their trade in L1 nevermind not even make the bench for a L2 side. Guess you haven't moved on from the Turner Era Mark where we regularly had difficulty filling the bench. Last seasons problems were not only a lack of quality but also a lack of quantity. Personally I'll be delighted to see a squad where every player has to fight / perform to be in the team, surely there is nothing worse than 11 players who know their place is safe until the next loanee comes in. More fishing Ed? Unfortunately I have your number.

No fishing Mark, just pointing out that it looks like this season we will have competition for team places which hasn't really happened for the last two seasons. I know which situation I prefer. If Wildig and Woods aren't good enough for a first team place so be it regardless of how they performed in Division1. Surely you agree that MM should always pick the strongest 11 regardless of reputation.

Chesterfield manager seemed impressed with Town. Given that this was their third game, makes the win all the more encouraging .
