Ive always wandered this, but why can clubs like leyton orient and swindon get people like samsung and fifa on on their shirt? And made by nike? And we always seem to be sporting some s**te ive never heard of? A-line, mg sportswear, patrick + REDhous spring to mind. Anyone seen swindons bus? Wonder who pays for that

Because the large kit manufacturers don't normally include amber in their colour schemes. If, like Telford, you're white and black then no issues you can use one of their off the peg designs. That options is not available to us unless we can persuade them to introduce it. Plus apparently with Adidas, Nike etc. you don't get free playing and training gear which from what I recall is high on the list of priorities for the club. For the life of me I have no idea why but it's stuff like this that suggests to me that we need change at the club. I really don't understand how the club can put that (getting free stuff from the provider) over offering decent merchandise to supporters. But there you go. It is what it is. This is a club that stuck with MG Sportswear for many a year remember. Enough said. For me, in this area, the club is still way behind in its thinking.

But can't any sunday league side go into one of those shops, sportsjam and the like and buy a load of Adidas, Nike or branded kits?

Of course they can, but i don't think the likes of Adidas etc would take kindly to seeing their "off the peg" kit being worn by proffessional clubs, on T.V. maybe in important cup games, in front of thousands of fans. Sunday league teams don't play in front of thousands, on T.V. or have important cup games. Hang on. Yeah, why can't we buy off the peg s**te. Good point LS.

I must of imagined Bradford City wearing various branded kits of claret and amber stripes over the years then...

Indeed. All well and good if we want to play in claret and amber. But we don't. What? They don't do blue now?? Yeah, sure. If you want to play in blue you can. They have a fair few of them. You can normally see what's available with just a quick Google of "Nike team wear". There you'll find all the combinations available. Good luck with finding anything blue and amber, mind... You know what we are referring to with "off the peg" right? As in you take what is available from the Nike range?

Take a look at brenfords away kit blue and amber made by adidas. Just wondering why we always seem to get the bottom range of everything. Managers, kit, sponsors, players. Manufacturers.....

Wasnt the opening poster the person who said we shouldnt be worrying about a badge change as there's far more important things to worry about? I didnt realise the names on the front of the shirt were now a concern

I think with the cancellation of the Toffs Do for POTY we should be getting more worried about having any sponsors at all next season. Obviously local business people aren't interested either at the moment.

Im sure nike and samsung is worth more than surridge and greenhous

I don't really care if we were sponsored by Samsung or Home Bargains.
I don't really care if our kit is made by adidas or MG Sportswear.
I'd just be happy for us to avoid the kit shambles of the summer. Having a 'cool' sponsor or 'trendy' supplier is away down the list of priorities for me.

Perhaps having a cool sponsor or trendy supplier avoids the kit shambles when you choose a supplier with a history of poor service... It's called a professional approach and something were lacking hence the shambles that is STFC at the moment

Body Paint - that's the answer . The club shop can sell gallons of it at a great price ( cheap and cheerful ) and we could have a different blue and amber combination every week . The team could daub themselves in it including a big name manufacturer nicely stencilled on , not forgetting a nice big Loggerhead. In the rain the " bathrooms and kitchens " paint would come in handy .
Think I've solved the problem here . , Just a quick note to the Boards resident dick head , no Bunkem , you don't have to paint your lower half so take that tin of red gloss back that you bought to paint your bell end.
When will you learn?
