Getting released by Rochdale at the end of the season, along with Kev Mac. Strange about TG as they spend money to get him and then get rid of him after 6 months :L www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22316929

El Tel needs to hope John Coleman gets a new club before the start of next season! I was sad to see him leave, if only that phantom offside goal against Coventry had been given, and his piledriver shot at Brentford away had been a few inches lower and not hit the bar, he may well of kicked on.
He clearly didn't have the stomach for a relegation battle - good work by GT to get rid for I presume a nominal fee, rather than let him fester and go for a free in the summer. Hope he gets fixed up soon - thanks Terry!

Terry's contract was up at the end of the season and they it over from us didn't they?
Notice Ashley Grimes has also been released by them.

Not surprised by this. Not a big fan when he was with us, but hope he does well elsewhere, maybe back at ACCY.

Shame, really think hes a good player. Works hard and has the potential to be a real goal scorer. Good luck El Tel

Signing Grimes would have been seen as a master stroke and signal of intention 2 summers ago. Funny how it works out sometimes.

Could argue its clever on his behalf.... unhappy here and desperate to play football. Gets move and he's had game time since he left us and now the worlds his oyster, he'll get fixed up. I was always a fan

Wondered why I hadn't heard his name mentioned for a while.
I think we certainly saw the best of him last season, although his goal in the friendly against Leicester this season mislead a lot of people into thinking he could fit right into Collins' shoes. In truth, probably not fit enough to lace them.
Squad player in League Two at best.

Wasn't really convinced by him last season and he was poor this season
He also produced the most uncommitted, can't be bothered, performance that I've seen from a striker this season when we played Yeovil at home.

Squad player in League Two at best. Exhibit B. dmshrew's ugly cousin. Probably possesses six fingers and a monobrow. Certainly not a pulchitrudinous individual. Clearly not a moron from their posts. However chooses to post as such. Squad player in League Two at best, conveniently ignoring how he was better than this "best" only last season. ME RIBS

If he showed the same application and attitude at Rochdale as he did at the end here it is little surprise he has been released.
I still think potentially there is a half decent footballer within - he has to get his head down though.

I agree on nothing with this bloke. How is it a WUM to believe a young forward had potential. Matt Richards has nothing to do with this.

Dont bring Richards who has nothing to do with my opinions in to this thread.

His partnership with Collins will never be forgotten. They worked really well together. Some people say with Collins where would we be now? I'm not so sure we'd be too different. However, if we still had Gornell and Collins up front I'm pretty sure we would have been a mid table finish + this season

Unfortunately another player we did not see the best of. Agree with other comments that he did not look that bothered at the end of his time here but respect him for his efforts of last season. Good luck Terry in the future.

Aka a squad player. You're not convincing anyone owd lad, your over-use of google thesaurus and 'big words' is denotative of your little Shropshire mentality.
