I know he didnt really have a chance when he was here but to be honest from what I saw today I wouldnt have or want him in the team.He moaned and dived about all afternoon and doesnt look like he has the best attitude aswell.Ok 19 goals is a good return and fair play to him but he is no better than what we have at the club.

He was playing?
Seriously though, he didnt do a lot, i rated him in the very short time he was here, but most players would have stood out in the team we had then, if he had stayed he would have scored plently im sure.

19 goals for a mid table side? Good return.

19 goals for a mid table side? Good return. Same with Donaldson from Crewe, he didnt look that good either, but banging them in for a mid table side, him and Le Fondre for Rotherham will surely be off now, Rotherham should have cashed in last summer on in Jan.

thought Sharps won everything against him.
He didn't do a lot no, but 19 goals in a season where he has injured. Not bad really

you judge player on one game where he received no service from an over run midfield? Remind me how he got on at the Kassam against you.

wasnt anything special today, but that does not mean he is not a good player, we were on the ball today and shackled him well,we need to take this form into the play offs, usually a big game big crowd at home = a poor shrews result, today we did the buisness

He was rubbish. A couple of decent nod downs and the rest was diving and whingeing at the officials. No disputing that he's scored a good few goals this season but he was rubbish today.

Im not judgeing him i just dont think he is any better than what we already have at the club.Regardless of how many goals he has got this season I really dont think he would be in our starting 11 if he had stayed with us.

He's clearly had a good season, the goalscoring charts dont lie. But he was pretty poor today, made the long ball stick well at times but nothing converted into clear shots on goal and was disappointed with his verbals to the officials thought they were out of order at times.
On balance, still one you'd rather in your squad than not IMO...............

Just think where we might have been with a striker scoring 20 goals we have been crying out all season for someone to consistently put the ball in the back of the net. Was impressed with Hall the type of box to box midfielder we have been missing.
Typical of many town fans to write a player off after one game. Let's be honest that Oxford weren't really interested yesterday especially after the blunder by the keeper for the first goal.

Ed you come on here moaning after we won 3-1 a few weeks back now you are at it again after we won 3-0. Where were you when we drew 0-0 with accy or the Morecombe or crewe games? you are making yourself look very stupid.

I'm not judging in on his performance today but everytime I have seen him play all he does is swear! Both at the officials, opposition and in own teammates! Good example as captain?

Think the point with Constable is that he was probably a better striking option for us in the previous 2 seasons than what we had at the time (holt being the exception). Think if he had played 40 games in each of these seasons he'd have got 12-15 goals for us. As with other players the then managers decision making over allowing him to leave was probably a mistake
However he and us have moved on and our current strike force is clearly much better than last season - resulting in us finishing 4th rather than mid table.
He's happy at Oxford, we're in the play-offs let's move on

You must be the only town fan who doesn't want a 20 goal a season striker but after your predictions early season regarding Robinson and our central mid fielder nothing you say surprises me.

I agree a 20 goal a season striker would be great Having said that, on what I saw yesterday, I prefer Harrold, Collins and Bradshaw to Constable, they seem to give opposition defences quite a few problems. IMHO I think Collins could score 20 next season, and Bradshaw could be close.

Ed remember the start of the season you said we would not get 75 points for promotion well we got 79 points. Remember you said we would not score 75 goals during the season well................ Ed remember you said our midfield would not score enough goals well.i hope you have changed your point of veiw now.

Constable 34(9) apps 15 goals Collins 30(3) apps 12 goals including his loan at Burton

You lot come on here to moan about a player who isn't at your club, give Beano a break....he was surrounded yesterday. I prefer Beans to Odubade any day of the week. You've got in the playoffs so really you have naff all to complain about although your fans were a total disgrace yesterday. Where were the stewards, pathetic. I take OUFC fans everytime, at least we get disciplined if we fight within our own set of fans. If you can't take the heat your not really a fan. Enjoy the play-offs and next season

Constable didn't have a lot of service on saturday, but he still managed to create their best chance - which the right back somehow managed to put wide

I thought he played well.
Collins and Bradshaw struggled playing two up front.
Constable was isolated nearly the whole game.

Those of us who went to the Kassam saw exactly what constable is capable of. He is not miles better than what we have and I'm not overly fussed, but he will score goals every year at this level, and it is a shame we didn't see more of him when he was here.
As someone else said though, it doesn't matter now; move on.

Let's be honest that Oxford weren't really interested yesterday especially after the blunder by the keeper for the first goal. Typical of you to find a rain cloud in a blue sky. I wasn't writing him off, I was summing up the one game I've seen him play this season and I thought he was rubbish in it. He's obviously effective or he wouldn't have scored as many as he has. We should probably have given him more opportunity here, even though I wasn't much impressed by what he did do. That's old ground. Good luck to him, I'm not bothered he's not with us and wouldn't want him back. I've moved on, even if others can't. For a team that wasn't really interested, Oxford scrapped like hell to keep out Harrold and Collins in their 6 yard box. Saturday doesn't make us world beaters but give us some credit. What do you want? Keeper makes mistake so goal doesn't count? Oh, and I was more impressed with Davis as the box to box midfielder we need. Whaddya know, he plays for us!
