I used to stand on the Wakeman and see loads of B&Aers heading for the Riverside.
Rarely see anyone I know at the Greenhous and the only new B&Aer I've met since being there is NickO who doesn't really count as he has deleted his account.

Well depends really. See plenty of faces in the concourse pre match and at half time Of course its not the same as the old place with being able to walk along two terraces

Because it was your stalwart defence of PS that turned out to be ultimately misguided that has made you go so over the top in your criticism of the current manager.

Kopthis.......................suprised we havn't heard from him following his teams 'success' at staying up at the last gasp. (Looks like the Premiership dream in 5 years ain't gonna happen ) That t0$$er that was a diehard Leeds fan that used to come on here offering to meet up with Town fans on Shrewsbury station on a saturday morning - can't remember his name

Over the top Ant Please refer me back to one of my posts that you class as over the top. This continued link between me and my support for PS is really wearing thin now. Certain posters cannot reply without mentioning it regardless as to wether the thread is serious or humorous which I presumed this one was. I will continue with my posts as to how I see STFC at the present time and if it upsets those who cant see past their blue and amber tinted glasses then so be it. Just a final thought is it me or does anyone else listen to other supporters views that are not llinked to this board. I certainly do and there is nowhere near the same feel good factor with them as there is on B&A.

Most are happy with progress on the field, but there are mutterings about problems behind the scenes.

To get back on topic, I've not seen or heard from 'Peter Broadbent' for a while and my old St Mary's RC Primary school team mate ((1956 ish), 'Essofsteel' also seems to have disappeared.

I have to say I fidn that last comment a little off, from selling the zine and speaking to loads of fans and being involved in the ASFC who many of which are not regualr B and Aers there is a feel good factor around the club.. I cant reacall a positive atmosphere as good as this following what many would percive as a bad end to the season and dissapointment... The full houses, the quality of football played this season compared to the last season and generaly progress we appear to have made in 12 months has only slightly has the shine taken off it by the play off performance. Just my thiought on it from having spoken to a lot of fans in the last few weeks, even the guys around me in block 17... Each to there own views though

Jonah, I think your comment suggesting GT didn't turn up this season is OTT for a campaign where we have claimed our highest points total in 17 years.
I agree that not everyone will have a feel good factor about the club.
However I would argue that our average attendance of 5,815 - our highest for god knows how many years, is a decent indicator of the fans' appetite for STFC in the season just passed.

Ant all I was saying and you cant argue with it is that GT may well have turned up but not as the Messiah. You may well have a point about the record points but as I have stated at the end of the day it means nothing if it doesnt get you promoted. I could say as it was used against me with PS many times this is probably the weakest the league has been in years. Agree with the average gates etc but they expected success and not to watch us bow out with not even a wimper. Its just like the old days on here say something against the club and you get the clique on your case By the way is that the best example you could find of me being over critical

Alright Jonah, I was gutted it didn't work out for Simmo but with Turner things do seem to be going the right way and but for a prat of linesmans flag we would be a div1 team right now. Granted we may have struggled up there due to some of the teams short comings but at least theirs some progress going on. Things could be worse. At least we haven't got Ratcliffe or Peters in charge anymore. PS Haven't seen Barry the West on here for a while

Come on Ant if you ignore the last game of the season against Oxford the average attendance is only around 50 higher than the last time we got to the playoffs. Last game of the season with all to play for added at least 150 to the average attendance. Any increase is positive but lets keep it in prespective.

The very fact that we were in with a shout for automatic promotion supports the view I was initially making.
