A few team making the play offs this season have had to ask clubs if they can keep loan players for the play offs. Telford are one and i think Peterboro were another, could this mean Torquay would have to ask us if they want to keep Robinson

Get him back so that he can score a couple of goals against Torquay in the play-offs to redress the balance

If there's any option from us to prevent Robinson playing we will take it, of course we will.
Even though loans can be until "the end of the season" surely there has to be an actual end date on the paperwork?

I'm sure I saw something on here which said if Torquay are in the playoffs then he stays with them.
Hope I'm wrong.

The contract wouldn't count if it just said 'until the end of the season' as it's too vague, there's not enough consideration. There will almost certainly be a date. When that is it only the clubs know.

Pretty sure he'll be a Torquay player still if they make the play-offs i.e. until their season ends. After that he's back with us. So theoretically he could be trying his best to knock us out of the semis then score the winner for us at Old Trafford...

If you read the article on Robinson in The League Paper he clearly states that his loan spell with Torquay is up until the end of the league season and does NOT include the play offs, thereafter it is upto his parent club as to where he is regarding the play offs.

Fantastic I know Turner said his "not sure if we'd have put the clause in anyway" back in February, but surely we won't let him play in the play-offs, we stand to gain nothing from it.

I believe Mr Torres is convinced the loan is up when Torquays season is over, therefore including the play offs if they made it.

Sounds good Hoover. Sure he's only one player but we certainly didn't handle him at all at Torquay. Would be more than happy to take him out the equasion if we meet the gulls. Just wonder if Morcambe will extend Craig Stanley's Loan and D&R will allow Tomlin to play for an extra 3 weeks? Torquay could be without some key players if not!
So if Robinson comes back next Monday and we have play off prep, what then? Does GT assimilate him back into the squad and risk disrupting current positive vibe (remember Robbo's tweet comments about Bradshaw)? Or does he pop him on gardening leave and let Robinson finish the season early?

I believe Mr Torres is convinced the loan is up when Torquays season is over, therefore including the play offs if they made it. That's not the way he made out when interviewed, I no longer have the article which was published a few weeks ago now but it was clear that the loan was only up until the last day of the season and did NOT include the play offs - any decision about further football thereafter would be up to his parent club. Without subscribing to the online edition of the paper I can't find any relating article to back up his comments etc.

So why are we worried about a player who was not good enough Because traditionally players rejected by a team, make an extra effort when they come up against them, often scoring

So why are we worried about a player who was not good enough Because he appears to be a key player for Torquay, and along with Stevenage getting players suspended for the play-offs left, right and centre, this can only benefit us.

So you really believe that the end of the season is the last league game Then we'd have some desperate negotiations with many of our players who are out of contract 'at the end of the season' Wont happen unless a specific clause was put in the contract and we didn't even include the usual cant play your parent team and as he's out of contract at 'the end of the season' how can we call him back?

Not much Jake can do for us anymore, but if he doesn't play for Torquay then that will clearly benefit us, seeing as he has been practically an ever present since joining them.

Had a quick look at the Torquay forum, a couple of days back, and it appears that Stanley's loan is about to come to an end. I suspect it may have been a 90 day loan, which I suspect expires on 1st May (today). Interesting comments about Robinson vanishing during games, after his bright start with them, and a couple of posters suggest "just like Shrews fans predicted".

This question has come up sooo many times, and the answer still remains the same: he is at Torquay until their season ends. He can play against us, that includes play-off semis or the final.

I think the only people who really know are the clubs, but as hoover said though it was in print that the loan finishes at the end of the season so lets hope its correct.

From the gulls website "Robinson, got to admit, yes he adds to our front line, but he has gone right off the boil since his earlier games, I think. Maybe I'm being harsh here, but he seems to slip away (as Shrews fans said), and he has attitude. Saw him shouting at the bench last night then 2 minutes later Nicholson was subbed." ;D
