Just who is going? I know some people are thinking of giving it a miss, but just for good measure I have nothing better to do, its still Shrewsbury Town our team playing and its still against Telford the old enemy. Yes the prices are stupid but what do you expect its the Shropshire FA which needs new young adventurous blood running it. Its know good moaning about them if people don't stand up and oppose what the way they run things? Its about time people stood up and speak there mind rather than gossop on here and say bouycott it.
Anyway I will make my way down, its a good excuse to try make some noise int he south stand and those that do be at the back of block 9/10.

No way. Firstly I don't agree with the timing of the game, and second I don't agree with the price.

No way. Firstly I don't agree with the timing of the game, and second I don't agree with the price. Fickle!! I'm not going for the same reason. We need to boycott it to show the Shropshire FA want we think of their farcical organisation of this competition.

Looking at a sub 1,000 gate for this, banners up at the Bucks Head last Saturday advising fans to boycott the game. Aint missed a Town game in ages but realy have little interest in this but will go along i suppose.

Nope
And i didn't see any mention of the game being staged in yesterday's programme either, interestingly.
Turner said yesterday that it would be youth team players and young pro's getting a game. To pay £10 to watch that is taking the mick.

Sounds to me like this years event needs to be renamed as the Shropshire Junior Cup

No way. Poor timing with both clubs pushing for promotion. If I was a Bucks fan I'd boycott it because of the way they were treated. Perhaps the Shropshire FA will see the error of their ways

.............its a good excuse to try make some noise int he south stand and those that do be at the back of block 9/10. You'll have a job making a noise with 50 people in a 10,000 seat stadium. No disrespect intended, but the SFA have out done themselves in their incompetence. Stupid timing for BOTH clubs. Stupid admission prices. Pointless competition. The way the SFA treat the smaller Shropshire clubs (and I include MDT, Shawbury, Bridgnorth Town and Ludlow in this) is a disgrace. The only way to make them understand is to stay away from their flagship (haha) competition.

Might get over 100 through but not by much.

Every season we see plenty of criticism thrown at the Shropshire FA with regards to the Shropshire Senior Cup and all of it seems justified. Not entirely sure what they are doing. But with it being one of the oldest Cup competitions in the world you'd think it deserves a little more respect.
I've forgotten how many times the format has changed, the suggestion of inviting clubs from outside the county at the expense of those within it, the times that it's been pushed back for one reason or another, fans understandably put off by ticket prices. But it was the talk of getting clubs from outside the county involved that really does stick in the mind. Did anything come of that? Was it Wednesday who were considered, did they ever play?
Surely you just have to say that every club in the county at a certain level and above competes. If anyone wants to stick a reserve team out for whatever reason then so be it. Make it a fiver for entrance at every tie across the county. That’s all you need do isn’t it, season after season...

No way - it's a ridiculous time of the season for it to be played. Stupid price and for what - just to win a trophy which presumably if the competition is played at the original time in July you get to keep for just 2 and half months!

Surely they could have scheduled this in during pre-season next season. Just seems mad to arrange it when we are at such a critical stage of the season.

Only way to ensure that this is a loss making evening for the FA (not the clubs) is stay away. Simples! No-one should be going out of duty - only desire. I have none so won't be there. Meaningless, nonsensical fixture with cack timing to boot. BOYCOTT!

not goin got no interest in it. i believe the way its been done this year is lets pick the biggest 2 teams to fight it out. i know for a fact teams like ellesmere rangers would love to be involved in this competition and they would probably do quite well as well. time to bring more teams in and do it fairly

why do season ticket holders get a discount ?
i've not missed a game this season i've spent a lot more than season ticket holders i'm a super blues member
i'm expected to pay 100% more
i've got other plans today anyway but if this was tomorrow its those kind of decisions which make me want to NOT go on principle

I'll be there. Don't blame people though for boycotting this game though. Shropshire FA consider yourselves lucky that: a) its only £5 for me (wouldn't have gone if it was more than that) b) I live in walking distance of the ground (wouldn't have gone I had to travel) c) I'm free and got nothing better to do (Wouldn't have gone out of my way for it as I do with other games) Otherwise you wouldn't get my money. Come on Salop reserves.

The season ticket holder pays up front, not knowing how the season will turn out.
