£10? To watch two reserve / youth teams in a meaningless match when both teams have their minds elsewhere and when there are more important matches imminent that most people will be spending their money on? Fantastic pricing!
They'll be lucky to get over 500 in attendance?

Agree Boycott....and I know many people who normally go and enjoy the games vs Telford that wont be now.... £10 is a massive oper price considering the run of gqames for both sets of fans...

I bet the Shropshire FA would have only charged £5 if we played Drayton, hence why they were desperate to bring back Telford to make it more of a 'prestige' fixture even though it is clearly not thankfully I'm in the Isle of Wight next week so I already have a ready made excuse to miss it hope it is poorly attended to make the Shropshire FA realise what a massive cock up they have made with this fixture this season.

I doubt I'd go even if it was free, which is what it should be for a reserve match for people who have season tickets. Greedy money grabbing stupid old farts

Why are so many people getting so worked up about something they all agree is unimportant ?

Why are so many people getting so worked up about something they all agree is unimportant ? Because the whole thing is so bizarre - the scheduling of it, and then despite this they've announced that pricing. Just utterly bizarre. And that's the organisation in charge of football in this county. Aren't we all so lucky!

When did Telford go back on their withdrawl from the compeition? At no point did Telford withdraw. The Shropshire FA excluded us when we said we would be unable to field a strong team. We stuck by it, they reconsidered, then invited us back. Again we said we would field a strong team if it was in July/August. All that is here: Link------> AFC Telford Statement So it is going to be effectively a reserve game, and I'm not bothering to do a 100 mile round trip especially at those prices. It's clear from Andy Sinton's comments here exactly how "serious" we'll be taking it. Link------> Shropshire Star I understand that part of the reason the Shropshire FA reversed their decision was that Market Drayton would have had problems fielding a team, as would other clubs, because players who have competed in other Shropshire FA competitions this season are "cup tied" from the Senior Cup. In other words the Shropshire FA were heading for no Senior Cup at all. I think the words "shooting themselves in the foot" are applicable here. Farce all round and there seems to be a great degree of agreement on that from supporters of both our clubs.

This one actually runs FIFA close to their shambles of 'awarding' (being paid megabucks allegedly) the World Cup to Russia & Qatar

It has been a total shambles for the whole duration of several weeks - they have made themselves look like a complete bunch of idiots. Hopefully they will get rewarded with a couple of hundred to watch their 'prestigious' competition.

Hopefully they will get rewarded with a couple of hundred to watch their 'prestigious' competition. Well, it is a prestigious competition, its OUR (Shropshire's) Senior Cup Competition with a long history. Don't knock the competition, its a big part of Shropshire football. I agree, however, that the Shropshire F.A. need to take a long hard look at themselves over the whole sorry business. As for the decision to watch a European Cup Match or a local derby involving the two most senior sides in the county........ do you need to ask?

I have no idea why the match has been put on this specific date.
But surely the Shropshire FA can see the potential harm that could be done to both teams. Effectively Shropshire FA are in a way hindering both teams promotion pushes.
As I say don't know why it is on this date those who make the decisions should take a long hard look at themseves.
Mr Turner I will support you no matter which team you put out...may I boldly suggest no first teamers are involved.

If Telford and Town both get promoted this would have been a great end of season celebration match. As it is I cannot imagine why anyone from either set of supporters would bother going to watch on the date chosen. Shropshire FA must be managed by losers.

The players insurance will run out the day after the date of the last possible game. That's the respective play-off finals for both teams. A celebration game would have been great if we were both promoted but, for practical reasons was a none starter.

I hadn't noticed until just that it's down for a 7pm kick-off too. On a weekday with many people not usually getting home from work until 6'ish I should think that'll reduce the attendance still more.
I'll guess Att: 325.
