It was hard thats for sure, but was delighted by my time, a 3.46 knocking 11mins off my PB...
I definatly could have done a sub 3.45 and closer to 3.30 on a different day, I runied my chances of that by walking miles and miles around London on Friday and Sat (at one point getting totally lost in Ilford, when my Iphone ran out of batterys, went to a Premier in when I had booked a Travlelodge!!), I could feel it in my calfs from 17 miles on...
Ran pretty rapid untill 17 however, and was able to run walk in from 21 miles... (ran to 21.2 without stopping all around 8-8.15 pace). However I hit the wall, and metally saw people dropping like flys from heat stroke, dehydreation, and rained myself in so I finished....
Up there with the best things I have done in my life, just a hell of an experience fromt start to finish. I vowed afterwards never again, as I was in agony, but today as the day has gone on, im certainly in for the ballot again next year.... would certinly love another crack at 3.45 at London if not else where...
And congrats to everyone that finished yesterday, it was a right battle, and the longer it took you the harder it was IMO, as you had longer under the punishing sun!
What a day!
Oh and radom occurance of the day (other than passing a toiling Ewen Thomas (at 3 miles) and a devestatingly slow Joe pascqualie (at ONE mile) was I got on the train there, and had my STFC ASFC traning top on and in train of 15 carridages that was rammed to the roof, a guy got on from wem, who was a town STH (Pete Varney I think). Said he know Welshshrew as he used to sit behind him at the Prostar.... chatted to him all morning to the start and totally took my nurves away!

Pricey, well done. If you are looking for a fast time, Berlin is the place to do it.

Got several friends who wish they had a stana stair lift at the mo! Walking backwards appears to be the way forward, if you know what I mean!
I`m inspired. Anyone know anything about Chester mara!?

Anyone know anything about Chester mara!? I was considering Chester meant to be a good atmosphere, nice scenery and fairly flat but a few of our cohort have decided on having a bit of a reunion party weekend and do the Cardiff half which is only the weekend after so i'm thinking doing both isn't really an option

Not far behind 50.27 is my PB for that race.... It reminds me of Cross Country when I was a kid which used to be there for all of the Shrewsbury/North Shrop Schools, however back then I had Ashma and pretty much collpased each time I did it...
