When the issuse of terracing v seating come up we always hear about Hillbrough, but never Valley Parade.
I have alway though more people could have been saved at Valley Parade if it had been terracing and not seating.
Seating makes people follow a paticuler route at the speed of the slowest (look at the Meadow next time). Now put a fire (please don't try this) at the top and see how safe it is. Compare that to if it was terracing.
There are health and safety issuse's on both sides.
Also as a side note to the whole issuse the Taylor Report also said alcohol at matches was a bad thing, so it got banned. But seeing money can be made from that sale, that didn't last long.

Valley parade was a terrace, the main reason for that was many people left the way they came in and came along to locked gates, by that time the fire had then blocked of all escape routes!!

It was in the main stand at Valley Parade, which was seated. Link------> Valley fire

Well, we can all see the improvements made in rapid exit from grounds. Half of Wembley just emptied in about 60 seconds
