Feel sorry for Drayton in all of this, Telford decided to pull out so why they should be allowed back in?

I was going to go if it was Drayton but no chance now, its a farce, the Shropshire FA aren't interested in whats good for the county, they never have been. Its about making money and they only see Shrewsbury v Tinport as the money maker, hence there determination for it to go ahead. They should all be sacked

Not as many as could have turned up if it was July when theres not much football to watch anyway and the way its been handled will put many off. Just hope Turner isnt pressurised into playing a strong side.

Like many, I wont go, infact I would actively encourage people not too....
Waste of time the Shropshire FA, and the more they get stug by this and make less money, the more they might start making sensibel decisions...

Agree El Huracan
Apart from anything else there's other fixtures around then that most people will be going to instead, so another match is just not affordable

I strongly feel that we should postpone it to July because it would then be flexible to have it.
Having it in April just dosen't make sense, it will impact on the teams slected, performance, gate and atmosphere. As both clubs are alot more focussed on promotion.
I can already see loads of salop fans say they are not going and to be honest I don't blame them. I haven't decided on whether I'm going yet. Much rather be spend my money and go away to Hereford on easter saturday and Cheltenham the week after.
And for fans who have not got season tickets, will most probably choose to go and see us at home to Accrington Stanley on Easter Monday. I've got a season ticket I'm sorted for that.
People these days have not got a never ending supply of money and if they give any game a miss it'll be SSC Final.
With the Senior Cup final, that is 4 games in the space of a week for both us and Tinpot. Tinpot too have games, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday and the following Saturday.
This means both us and tinpot will probably play weakened sides and not play to their best rather trying to avoid injury or getting a card.
Lets just play the game in July along with this years competition as well. Shropshire Senior Cup should be a pre-season tournament.
Shropshire FA have not though this through at all because imo no one's going to benefit from it being on 27th April.

it will be a reserve/youth team that plays,
could be Van Den Broek's swansong, we may have to stick a few regulars on the bench mind,
if SCS isn't back in the starting XI I'd give him the captain's armband, I'd consider playing Sadler if he wants to keep the ever present record, I'd also 'blood' Hooman, D.Taylor and Goldson some more, there is also Grandison and Lomax to come in to,
play C.Neal in goal,
in the middle play the trailist Rooney, McAllister, McIntyre and Disley could play in midfield, with perhaps Ainsworth if he still isn't in the starting XI,
up front Elder could make his comeback, with Harrold (if he again is still not in the first XI) my XI would be,
C.Neal,
Lomax, SCS, Goldson, D.Taylor
Ainsworth, McAllister, Disley, McIntyre,
Elder, VDB
so all in all I think we could get away with still playing a strong team and do well, so what if we lose also

very unfair on Drayton,Telford pulled out and should not be allowed to decide that they will re-enter just because they are no longer involved in a title race.

At no point did we withdraw from the competition. We stated that we would be unable to field a strong team in April and, as a result, the Shropshire FA excluded us. Whether or not we are still in with a chance of the title is immaterial. If we don't win it we need to secure second place so that, if we won the two-leg semi final, we would have the play-off final at home. Our position hasn't changed, we have said all along that we would play the fixture and, if it's left until July, would enter a strong team. The Shropshire FA now seem happy for it to be played on 27th April with what will clearly be reserve teams. It is indeed unfair on Drayton, and on Shrewsbury and Telford too. In the latter cases both teams have been pulled from pillar to post on this matter all season. Link------> AFC Telford statement

I thought that Telford had arranged a friendly with Rocester this week,April can not be that busy if that is the case.
