We should have been four points closer to that required rate but for being cheated out of wins against Vale and Wycombe by the officials.
We are owed a bucket load of bad decisions going for us rather than against us all the time.
March form so far would look a whole lot better with four wins rather than just two and we could have put the Bury and Torquay games down as just blips.
I am sure many of the teams in the top 10 have games where they think they have lost points because of the officials. These things even themselves out over a season. Remember Bradford and many Town fans believe Taylor committed a foul prior to Bradshaw scoring. 2 points less.
Don't remember you complaining when Holt and Davies were gaining free kicks and penalties some might say dubiously.
I suspect that the number of points for automatic promotion might be as low as 78 but I think the number of points required for a playoff spot might be high maybe 74.
Well you've highlighted a moral dilemna there horse. This team of Turners is very honest and seems not to resort to cynical tactic's such has been used in the past and by many teams in our division but what is our reward for honesty, one measley penalty all season and a host of dodgy decisions against us.
I'm not saying it's the right thing to cheat to get a decision but while officials are so gullible to give them when players do it then the inclination is for players to continue doing it.
Your right about Holt and Davies because look at how many penalties and free kicks we got that season but it made a difference between a play off spot and not.
This season we seem to be getting the rough end of the decisions and that could cost us going up hence me mentioning the last two home games where the officials denied us wins.
Like I say i'm not advocating cheating but it seems the officials are determined to let cheats prosper in this division.
Individual players mistakes is another matter and shouldn't be confused by the performance of the officials. Although I do agree Neal was involved in some howlers that cost us points.
