It's going to be big marchforthealternative.org.uk/Ignore the already predictable headlines of riot and disorder. This will be a day when decent, law abiding people take to the streets of the capital to tell the government that there is an alternative and that they are not making these decisions in their name. 22 coaches already booked up from Shropshire..anyone going ?

22 coaches What a waste of fuel. Who's paying for that then? Tax payers for 14 coaches and the other 8 from Shropshire Council Tax payers.

Theres only one thing more annoying than a politician and thats the people who think they can change things by turning up on the governments doorstep and expecting things to happen because they want it to, A pointless waste of taxpayers money.

Now lets just examine that particular pile of horse s**t ! There will always be wet paint to watch dry. However once good, affordable and much needed public services are lost they will be lost forever. Town at Bradford is an attractive option but sometimes it matters more to put aside your own selfish interests for the better public good. And finally, there will many thousands `higher rate taxpayers` on the streets of London...it's just that they will have an understanding of the real issues of Britain today and will also have a conscience

Try telling that to the people of Eygpt, tunisia etc. People power is the only thing that can make the change.

Having taken note of the "watch the media make us all out to be nasty" excuse already.......... In all seriousness will you please try not to disrespect any of the war memorials or statues (such as Churchill) as you make your "peaceful" way about your business. Regarding protests in general I hope you have more success than the "Not in my name protest" against the last Iraq war which of course was ignored by the previous lot....strange that I didn't notice the red rags flying in the face of a great "wrong" then.. Anyway good luck with waving the red rag and singing your little jollies...make sure you thank any Labour MP you see for allowing the nasty Condems to get in....

Ignorance of ther highest order. Why would anyone believe that Governments of any pursuasion or affiliation would give or concede anything without public pressure and demoinstration. Trawl back through history and see for yourself the fruits of public protest. Democracy allows us to have events like next saturday and witrhout doubt influences decision makers.
