Pilch still crowing on then I see.
I noticed Holden was man enough to accept Evans' apology, unlike some players.

Fact remains Jonny Evans lunged in two footed, from air, and bought his studs down on Holden's knee. Unpleasant more than disgusting, but a clear red card nonetheless. An unusual sight seeing a Man Utd player receiving red at OT, I had to do a double take

as usual anti man u fans blatantly lie about what happened to make it sound worse a 2 footed lunge ? err one foot is behind his back out of interest was you running the line at the meadow on saturday ? as stated, if you take evans out of the picture there, you seriously have to ask what was holden doing ? apart from heading for a serious knee injury

Definite red for Evans the way the rules are now, shame for Holden to be out for so long as he's had a cracking season for Bolton.
Good to see a ref not being afraid to send off a player from one of the big boys on their home ground, all too often players from the top 4/5 have got away with tackles that would be automatic reds for a player from a "lesser" side. Equally refreshing to see the United management team support that decision.

Would also expect over a near 20 year period that the sides who have been in the top flight throughout that time to have naturally accumulated a lot of cards Maybe Liverpool should have put their foot in a bit more since the Premiership started as they may have had more success eh Pilch
