Talk about writing off the season. Most clubs supporters fear the worst after a hammering, its only natural but what happened last week shouldn't affect this. This season's outcome does look uncertain but there are still 10 games left and we are in a decent position within the chasing pack, lets just see what happens shall we? If the don't like the answer perhaps the question should not have been asked. And are you really so naive as to think that last weeks 5 nil drubbing against our promotion rivals is not going to hit our moral and give a boost to those around us and trying to catch us. Perhaps but not necessarily. There could be the 'wounded animal' situation in which our rivals could be worried about a reaction from us. They often say the worst time to play a team is when they have just got beat I am sure some of our fans have said this when its been reversed. It all depends on whether town can react in the right way.

Not going am off to watch the Gunners at West Brom instead.... That said from what I have seen we are best off waiting a season as we are by no means good enough to go up this year..in that I don't want to go up for a year and then straight back down ala Hereford. Mr Turner has I feel progressed this term, next will be his test I don't feel he will get X amount of attempts he had at Hereford here. Simply put we are not good enough and will be very lucky to scr@pe a play off final. Where oh where does all this negativity come from. We are good enough to go up automatically, and i am sure the team will do everything they can to achieve this. Are we good enough to stay in the division above. Only time will tell, and i am sure money will be spent and loanees signed to help us stay up. BUT, why are we worrying about wether we are good enough to stay up. Do you think Blackpool or Wolves fans worried about their chances of staying up once they saw that promotion was a probability. No, they enjoyed the moment, which is what we should do, hopefully. On another point, i see that some think that our 5 nil hammering will help the confidence of the chasing pack. Yeah, well how are Rotherham doing tonite so far.

Totally agree, I don't understand it when people get worried about how we will do if we go up and decide perhaps we should wait a season. Even if the squad isnt good enough for the league above it makes it seem as if we arent allowed to strengthen over the summer. Could be waiting forever for promotion with that attitude.

We are more than good enough on the day to go up automatic, its the consistancy thing we need to see and if that happens we will do it.

The reference, clearly made in jest, was to Windsor going to watch the gooners tomorrow as opposed to his thoughts on our promotion chances Mr Jones

Today is a big game but its not yet make or break, a win will be very handy indeed and a loss, well, a loss will just make it an extremely big ask to go up top three, but it won't end all chances of it. The argument for waiting another year is daft, unless you go up, nobody will ever know if they can make it in the league above. And should we get the chance there is no doubt we will strengthen in the summer. I bet Rochdale fans thought they'd be back in the bottom league next season, considering how badly they ended the last - nearly messing up promotion. But they're doing just fine. A 5-0 loss really brings out the negativity on here.
