Stands back in amazement. And this time, we have actually inserted a clause in the deal making him ineligible to play against us if the loan gets extended. Wonders never cease.

Thank god for that, knowing our luck he will be their best player and would have played a blinder against us. Proberly less bowls and poker now I guess.

Personally, I think Leslie is nowhere near as bad as some on here make out. He has talent but for whatever reason (confidence?) can't seem to deliver in the first team on a regular enough basis. A move elsewhere is his chance to start afresh.
As for BVDB - in the very limited amount I saw him he didn't suggest he was going to be adapt & no-one seemed to know where he should play or how to fit him in.

One of the worst players I've seen play for the Town at the new Stadium,
See 'ya Leslie.

Good luck to Steve
Putting in the clause that he can't play against just emphasises the point that somebody cocked up over Robinson

I hope this move kickstarts Leslie's career, good luck to him.

Agree with move in regards to me not rating Leslie but if plan A doesn't work our plan B other than up front on the bench now is looking a little thin? Take Saturday for example.... the only obvious change was to bring Harrold on, Bradshaw wasn't even brought on. Disley hasn't looked the played he was since returning from injury either.

Good luck Steve this is the best thing you have done .Hope you prove to all the Leslie haters you can do it with that sweet left foot of yours. Well done you finally got your wish to go out on loan now show what your made of. I just wonder who those haters are going to pick on next .

I wonder if the move is to make way for a loan signing of our own - just bearing in mind the two trialists playing in the reserves the other day?
On the no-play clause, clearly they have taken on board the criticism and realised the mistake they made with Robinson. Being beaten by your own player does not make good footballing sense whichever way you look at it.

Blimey, - he ain't that bad!
Think it will be good for him, hes got a good left foot, but isnt quite the quality that Town desire anymore. But he's been a great servant to the club, time to leave him alone i think

For being the longest serving player on our books,he has'nt played much, speaks volumes to me,not really rated by what ? 3 or 4 managers, had plenty of time to cement a postion in the team,oh he did on the bench !!

Good luck Steven, hopefully this will give your career a lift, either back here or elsewhere.
To all those giving him stick on here:
he scored more goals last season than Robinson did and in fewer appearances. He has probably got one of the best shots at the club but it is his consistency that lets him down.
and talking of of Robinson why has he been removed from our squad list on the official site?

The fact that several managers kept him on while clearing out lots of other players shows that they can all see he has ability, unfortunately he hasn't produced it often enough in the first team

not the best of starts result wise, but it sounds like he did okay, starting the game and getting a few shots on target before being subbed.
