Wanderers have an appalling recent record against United, but we'll worry about that if we can get past the clay eds (assuming they don't get turned over by Citeh)

Thanks for that… I know plenty of Manchester fans and I’d stand by what I say. Also, it were Everton against Manchester I was thinking of in my first post. And the passion and support by the two sets of fans that day were like chalk and cheese. Really don’t need to understand too much to have seen that… I'll wager a fair bit that an FA Cup final will mean more to the supporters of Bolton and Stoke (who haven't been involved at all or for years) than to Manchester United's (who were there the other year and have won a fair bit of late)... Just my opinion like, we can agree to disagree... Of course mate. I’m all for freedom of speech and everyone’s right to express their opinion. Having said that, I have to wonder who these people you know are to be so blasé about appearing at Wembley and winning trophy’s. They’re certainly not recognisable as the fans I know who feel pain at every defeat. The Everton semi? Yes, I was there. Their fans were truly magnificent on the day and all credit to them. But you shouldn’t do them such a disservice by thinking that they only sounded good because the other side were crap. It wasn’t the case. Everton are, without doubt, one of the best set of supporters in the league and far superior to their near neighbours - IMHO On the other hand, it might have been that on that occasion there were too many “Manchester fans” there and not enough “United Supporters” I’m actually taking it as a great compliment that you refer to us as Manchester fans by presuming that you recognise that despite the ups & downs and Arab money, there really is only one team in Manchester To clarify any doubt. If we do lose the semi (and let’s be honest, they’ve got to beat us sometime) I’ll be sick to my very soul. Same if we don’t beat the Scouser’s league championship record and/or fail to take the European Cup. There may have been a few trophies down the years but that doesn’t make failure any easier to stomach. To think otherwise, like I said, shows a basic lack of understand of the psyche of all true football supporters

If you dig any deeper stutty you'll be saying united fans would be happy if they did what town did in the Devon cup final and just pull out ;-) Didn't they pull out one year? 2000?

Loving the last comment, sums up certain clubs fans attitudes which are misplaced. Perhaps all of us on here should give up supporting Shrews as we haven't won jack in years and have failed at Wembley everytime we have played there - what's the point? Perhaps we should cut to a league of 6 teams in England and make them play each other 8 times each. Cannot believe you served by Everton in a singing competition.

Tad confused here. I think I heard they dropped the Football Club from their badge; have they done away with the ‘Manchester’ bit now? And whilst I appreciate that the semi is a massive game and I’m sure you will be disappointed I would say that’s more a reflection on the opposition than the event. I’m not saying that these games don't mean anything to Manchester fans, what I am saying is that they mean more to those supporters of football clubs who seldom get the chance to win owt...

Why don't you ask a few scouse friends if they are bothered about not winning several cups season after season Has the last couple of decades been a breath of fresh air for them

You know, I'm completely at a loss to understand what on earth this has got to do with previous posts on this thread. Has Liverpool's demise finally sent ShrewdFingers into LaLa Land
