This is a absoulte disaster. 4-0 down. 2 of the goals from Robbo, a player on loan from us. Down to 10 men with Grandison sent off, so looks like he getting a 1 to 3 match ban. Sent off for a challenge on Robbo. How can it get worse!!! By Torquay by scoring a 5th.

In the '79 season - Spirit of '79 - didn't we lose 5-0 at Preston or some other NW team - at a simialr stage of the season? One bad game - we still have an excellent shot at 3rd. Inconsistency is fustrating. We lost 5-0 at Blackpool and 3-0 at Bury in quick succession. Remember walking away from Gigg Lane believing we had blown promotion I'd forgotten about the Bury loss. I just hope that we show the strength of character to recover from this. Robinson - a mistake yes - but we need to recover and press on.

Horrible game to listen to.
Wycombe is now the biggest game of the season.
Turner has to get the squad ready, mentally and physically.

It's hardly whingeing to question why we're allowing our own player to partake in routing us.
It's unforgivable amateurishness, really and rather embarrassing ,too.
Can't help that feel that Robinson turns it on when he fancies it, though. I was disappointed when he was allowed out on loan but could understand the decision, particularly as it probably helped us bring in Wroe, but neglecting to include a clause barring him from playing against us beggars belief.

Very glad that we haven't got a game on Tuesday night now. Congrats to Torquay and Robinson, too good for us today. You have to wonder about goals one and two, apparantly 2 yards off-side, and then a dubious handball? Can't really make a case for us deserving anything though.

What an utter s**te afternoon at Plainmoor Our performances this season against our peers have just been far too mediocre, it is only because unusually we have been fairly ruthless against the bottom half sides that we are still in a decent position. We have played 13 games against our top 8 competitors so far: Won 1, Drawn 5, Lost 7, For 10, Against 24, GD -14, points 8 out of 39 - that is an awful record

Typical overreaction. One bad loss and its all over. I know we let in 5 but you could argue Vale and Wycombes home defeats by the odd goal were worse than ours.

poor form of late, this is the time we should be pushing on and coming good, but thats 10 goals conceded in the last 3 games, dont blame torquay or robinson, they pay his wages so no problem with that, but the club must look at them selves as to y he was allowed to play?

They would have still won 3-0 if he didn't play though...poor form against the top teams will cost us this season.

Keep your chin up owd lad there`s still loads to play for.

Keep calm lads. Despite witnessing the worst town performance since I saw us lose 5-1 at darlo in the relegation run in. We have the players and the manager to turn this around. Looks like play offs but after last seasons debacle I would've have taken that in August. Keep the faith.

Some incorrect ref decisions for first two goals was at the root of the defeat. Once that happened you knew a heavy defeat was on the cards.
Need to forget it and move on.

If we don't beat Wycombe next Saturday then it looks like it will be play offs. This is a huge concern and I'm not sure how this will affect the players mentally but we haven't beat ANY of the teams up around us this season. We've got a couple of draws and yes we still have to play Wycombe and Rotherham again, but looking back over the results (unless I've missed one) we haven't recorded a single victory against any promotion/playoff rivals. How we expect to go up via playoffs if needed, I don't know. Out best hope is to go on a good run once we get this month out the way and hope for top 3.

To be fair El Mundo...it's a five nil dickin at the business end of the season and we've conceded two goals to a player who is on our own books. Granted I don't think we are out of automatic promotion contention however, I can understand why Town fans are a tad miffed this evening... In allowing Torquay to play our own player who then goes and scores a brace just makes us look daft...

A big response is needed next Saturday - if we can stay in touch come the end of March we've got a reasonable shot at it.

Robinson had already cost us points by missing our only penalty of the season. Not really, we still won that game
