I'm sure there was a thread up at the time saying that he was allowed to play.
Turner might have just wanted the deal done as it was done so late.

Yes he can play. Sounded as if they overlooked that option in the loan deal due to getting 9 deals done late into the transfer window, however Turner did say that he wouldnt have necessarily demanded it anyhow.

I thought it was a F.A rule that on loan players could not play agaist their parent club?

I thought it was a F.A rule that on loan players could not play agaist their parent club? Didn't an on loan player from Arsenal at Leeds play against his parent club in the FA Cup earlier in the season?

I thought it was a F.A rule that on loan players could not play agaist their parent club? No, its only in the premier league that happens. Lower down it doesn't unless specified. There's been several instances this season of players scoring against their parent clubs too. EEEeek

Fiver on Robinson to score Saturday then!
Know I'm a fairly loan voice in this but still think we'd have more of a goal threat with Robinson in the team - although hopefully with Bradshaw getting back to fitness we'll have a few more options upfront going into the final stretch of the season

What a ridiculous state of affairs. No player on loan should EVER be allowed to play against their own club. It doesn't even need to be written into a contract it should just be one of the rules of the game. As for Robinson he's in a lose - lose situation If he plays well, he'll p**s us off If he doesn't play well, he'll p**s them off Feign an injury must be the best personal option for him

GTs comment around "if we thought about a condition of the loan im not sure we would have put it in anyway" is a reminder to Jake Robinson if he needed it that hes played his last game for Town. For that reason i would expect him to come out firing on all cylinders trying to prove a point. He can at times be a handfull but heres hoping for one of his anonymous displays where hes subbed after an hour , whines about it later on twitter then starts another new fitness regime as a result!!
This sideshow cant distract us from getting the 3 points we desperately need so not really bothered if he does score as long as we win!

it will be great if we win and he doesnt score i'm willing to take that chance if it comes off it will be far better than us winning and he didnt play let not even consider losing

It may be that distance is blinding me on this, but to me it's fairly clear that he won't be coming back. He's a former player now, simple as.

Hes certain to score I would say, and almost 100% to be in the first half before he drifts out of the game.. If he does and dents our chances of going up, you could say that letting him play was a faily big Gamble/mistake... we shall see... Hopefully Sharps will put a fair but tough tackle in on him and he will hide the rest of the game...+ hes alway much worse when away from home

Even worse decision to loan him to a team who are in direct competition to you and forget to put in a no play against us clause Guaranteed to score against us and he is to quick for Sharps

My torquay friend says Robinson is a cracking player,
I can't believe we didn't put this clause in, either way its helping Torquay out,
Robinson vs Sharps could be a close one

I assumed he was a big factor in the turnaround in results in early Feb.

To allow your own player, who will obviously be fired up and have a point to prove, to play against you in what will be a tough game anyway is a crazy state of affairs.
I'm a big fan of GT but this was a major oversight.

Robinson wasn't the issue today. Couldn't cope with the movement and fluidity of their front three from the off. Several key town players failed to show up and we surrendered possession at every available opportunity. Can GT patch us up by Saturday?

Am I being paranoid or....
If us and Torquay both make the playoffs, and meet each other, can he play?
