'some of us are however fed up with people blaming "the authorities" or "the council" or "the government" or on this occasion "the quangos" when they are barking up the wrong tree and blaming the wrong people.' So Ghost if its none of these then who makes the decision to waste thousands under the pretext of “Our aim is to create a vibrant and distinct northern corridor that can act as a prime gateway into Shrewsbury.etc etc etc? Can anyone tell me the expected cost? so you dont know who is doing the work, what the work is, or who is paying for it and yet feel qualified to judge it a waste of money? lol I drive, walk or bike past heathgates island atleast 5 times aday and tbh nothing has changed,it is no safer for people crossing the road and is not safer for people on bikes either. The only thing that has changed is that the traffic does not get backed up along Ditherington so much as the traffic lights have been changed by the railway station after the council have studied the flow of traffic going into town for about the last year.

I see that the council agreed a deal with the bus company to move them out of town (up by Tescos apparently) and have brought the land it was on so the Flax Mill Development come a step forward... Part of the whole Northern Corridoor Scheme Must say I was pretty sckeptical about that deal coming off... so fair play to all involved on that one... Still a long way to go before the whole scheme comes off though... big step mind... As for Sainsburys, they are Un-adopted roads (and never will be) so not councils fault at all... I could not see tescos let there access roads get in that state and not fix it... but then its not Sainsburys fault either its the people that own the retail park... Now if people started paying there parking tickets then they might be able to afford to fix the pot holes! having said that anyone travleing out to Montford Bridge recently will know there are Plenty of pot holes the council should be fixing but have not!
