Rumours that he's a straight swap for Lawrence are unfounded then?

Do STFC make any money out of that? From ShrewsWeb "The clubs have agreed a substantial package for Sean's transfer" Read into that what you will

£1.5 million hopefully Norge!! (We can but hope!)
Seriously tho' it would be interesting to know what the " substantial sum" is. Remember the Brighton versus Villa fight for compensation over Gareth Barry a few years back? Brighton got something like £200,000 out of that if I remember correctly.
Come on Whitters, give us some gen.

I very much doubt we've got 200k for him.
Be interesting to see if Sir Alex and the boys will be coming to Gay Meadow for a friendly next pre-season though as well as a fee - it'd seem like a decent idea to me.

I think this is great news and I really hope that the youth set up is not compromised if we have to cut costs ahead of another season in the Conference- it is as important as the New Meadow to the future of our club- I take my young son to coaching in Shropshire and I know there is plenty of talent on our doorstep if the club is just prepared to look for it and develop it.

Brilliant news for the lad.
If we did get money for him I hope it went straight into a bank account marked centre of excellence.
Be interesting to know whether we have a sell on clause on him.
Anyway lets stay calm, and hope he doesnt end up being one of the many united yts lads released at 18/19/20.
Good luck.

How many players have we lost to higher division clubs from our C.O.E. Billy Jones at Crewe, That one who went to Liverpool and now Sean, anyway good luck to Sean hope he makes the grade. Whatever the Club do they've gotta keep the youth system i'd rather have a team of youngsters who played with abit of pride and had some affinity to Salop than some over-paid has-been who couldnt give a flying f**k about the club and who's only motivation was his pay cheque. (Gawd im still peeded about the last 5 minutes against Exeter and Tuesday, i really hope they prove us doubters wrong on Saturday and for the rest of the season,)
