if i can get 25 genuine people who want to pay £5 for a raffle (probably chosen by lottery to make it all above board)
i suggest winner gets the £125 limited edition kit (if we can get one that is) and if by any chance we get more than 25 interested we can have additional prizes
as i dont know who some of you are, if thats you can you also pm me your name and phone number etc
cheers

Pilch if my maths is right you could ask for £6 each and have 2 shirts and still a few quid left over if 49 people pay.

£99 for just a shirt? You do need to think sometimes before you open your mouth. Cameroon or Salop, it doesn't matter ..the price is still OUTRAGEOUS ! What a great way to alienate the fans ! Who thinks of these useless promotions ? How does that unify and bring the true fan closer to the club and improve fan/club links ? Is there somebody who thinks , ' lets create some elitism especially in a time of recession and prevent our fans and the club from benefiting . ' Pathetic !!

i dont think the LIMITED EDITION kit is compulsory its a collectors item your are not even meant to wear it (well you can but it would devalue the item) yes it might be expensive i think you would be moaning if it was a fiver and you'd just found out they had sold out
maybe it would be a great gesture if the town did some raffles or give aways or reductions if they dont sell out

Worth a gamble, for a fiver this, if you win and dont want it stick it on ebay and I bet you at least make your money back

I can't see the issue here; £125 x 125 shirts = £15,625 That would equate to far more profit than selling 500 for £40 with a profit of £10 each shirt (for example). If the limited edition ones aren't in people's price range surely they will buy the normal one if they like them? One way the club might've potentially alleviated some of this negativity is by providing a little more detail about what you actually get for your £125. Easy to sit here and criticise though, eh

As i said on the kit launch thread there are other add on's to this offer, whereas some of you think its £125 for a single shirt.
Rather than shooting from the hip wait until the full details are up on Shrewsweb. Even then if you dont think it a good offer your not obliged to take it. Others will though and count that as good business by the CLub in my making extra revenue that can go towards team building.

Rather than shooting from the hip wait until the full details are up on Shrewsweb. . Come on Tim, that would be far too boring and sensible People would much prefer another good excuse to moan at the club without knowing the full facts

We should all be celebrating the 125th year but apparently you can only celebrate this if you have the cash to do so and not because you are a loyal supporter of X amount of years , supporting Salop through thick and thin . This sort of reasoning is identical to the ' Money is All ' syndrome regardless of 99.9% of fans which is exactly how the premiership runs and why most of us condemn too . I applaud you for giving us normal fans a chance of getting one at a reasonable price but i think the way the club are letting down the ordinary fan is awful .

This has become a money making scheme and The Centenary is nothing more than a vehicle to accomplish that . I wonder how the pensioner that has attended every home game faithfully for over 40/50/60 years is expected to share in this 125th year celebration , when it costs over £ 100-00 ? Fair ? I think not !!

Ok so in the history of football no other club, other than Premiership clubs have tried to make money out of their fans on special occasions? As Mr Gallon has pointed out, it is NOT £125 for a shirt, wait until you hear what you get for £125 includes before moaning. Additionally, there may be other things planned which are much more affordable to other fans. Pure guesswork on my part of course but you dont know Jesus, the club try and come up with ideas to mark the event and make some money at the same time and get criticised no end.

If people are stupid enough to spend £125 on a Shrewsbury shirt then that's great for the club.
I doubt there will be anything similar and more affordable to other fans though because everyone who has been ripped off paying £125 will then complain.
