Fair play GT is giving the youngsters a good run out.

Tom Bradshaw up front on his own then?
Sounds a bit risky tbh.

Can't quite figure out the formation, may play Jon Taylor up front with Tom as i assume Danny Taylor will play wide right, anyhow, good luck to the younguns!

We're playing 6 defenders! I can't quite work the formation out tbh! I refuse to believe GT has gone for 5 in defence! I presume Sherriff will play in midfield? GK: Smith RB: Taylor CB: Raven CB: Goldon LB: Sadler RM: Taylor CDM: Sherriff CDM: Hooman LM: Neal CAM: Leslie ST: Bradshaw Seems very strange

Reads 4 4 1 1 to me. Smith. Raven, Hooman, Goldson, Sadler. D, Taylor, Sherriff, Leslie, Neal. J, Taylor. Bradshaw. J.Taylor is a right winger. I think it is Leslie playing in the hole like he did last season.

I'm sat at home in Ledbury so don't know but friends at the ground say 4-4-2 with Leslie joining Bradshaw as the front 2.

Looks like we may be resting a few with a view to Sunday's match. As much as I'm enjoying the tournament, 4 games in 6 days with only three subs allowed could take it's toll on a squad that's a bit light as it is.
No other striker on the bench so looks like Tom may get another 90mins to impress GT further.
Havant scored all their 5 goals from set pieces vs Donny so should be a good test for our new look back 4.

I'd agree Mr Mark In Glasgow but I think its worth playing in and all of the lads can get a run out with the youngsters getting good experience. If you include the Coventry match its 5 games in 8 days though

Certainly a big ask Op but thought I heard Mancini say that Sporting Lisbon (who beat City last night) had already played 10 pre season matches prior to that game last night!!!

www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2101078,00.html First half report. Sounds like a good number of chances for both teams with Ben Smith doing quite well in the Town goal, I think Turner could well sign him up.

Turner obviously recognises we are still short of pace in some key areas. He could have easily stuck Macca in the middle with SCS but looks that he'll always be looking to have that creative, speedy, attacking edge in there hence young Taylor slotting in today.
Delighted to see this as I feel that with Simmo playing the two similar, defensive midfielders in the middle last season it put way too much creative onus on Lewis Neal and whoever was slotted in on the right wing.

Leyton Orient and Blackpool have now made 4 changes each and is still 1-1. Looks like they'll get away with it but fair play to GT by playing it by the book.

Whoever came up with the 3 subs ruling must have not one ounce of common sense.

Blackpool have certainly gained an unfair advantage. Ollie knows that the organisers won't kick them out so he can do as he likes. Got a few friends who are Kilmarnock fans and they are less than chuffed. Wonder if the FA will punish Blackpool for clearly flaunting the rules?
If we make it through and play Blackpool I'm sure we'll be able to use as many subs as we like.
