Howie- played for the best team in scotland and is a fine keeper
moss - welsh u21 left back, solid.
Sedge - utility player number one
Tinson - our answer to Tony Adams
Ridler - no probs with him
Challis - we won the lottery getting him - fab
O'Connor - id have him in any team
Tolley - Welsh U21, has the world at his feet
Sam - boywonder down the wing
Lawrence - man u rate him, I do too
Darby - superb
Luke - missing jemmo but is still a star
Cramb - record speaks for itself
Lowe - Determined, passionate, a great find by Foggy
blah blah.. we have got a team with players that could play in any second division.
JQ - gets rid of the old wood and has got some good signings
Cooke -
Bates - we are playing the borning football that got him sacked in the 80s. Town legend but I need to be proved wrong.
Pre-season - we scored 30+ goals and were flying.
Under pressure we dont deliver. Quinn lost in a play off with Reading. It seems we dont cut the mustard when we need to.
Our league position has been dropping all season. My hopes were the fact that if we went on a good run in March and April promotion would be automatic.
We have gone from 2nd to 3rd to 4th and now 5th. We are dropping.
The facts are we are not doing the business. We are not playing to our strenghts. I am not blaming any player on their individual performance. I am blaming the team and thus the manager and coaches and Cooke
We all know there are goalposts for the ball to hit the woodwork, we all know there are good goalkeepers, we all know there are the abbey gardens behind the wakeman for the ball to go over.
If you dont shoot, you dont score. Forget the flair, we are not even playing attacking football. We are trying to walk the ball into the net. It does not work.
Even the mighty real madrid lose. Arsenal have finally crumbled but we dont even shoot, we wont create, we dont look like a team on the roll and up for promotion.
I personally dont care we lost to Telford, but I know lots do, but people would not have minded if we had lost in a 5-4 thriller and at least tried and showed our potential and scored goals which is the idea of football. Telford battled really well and if it was a FA Cup game against another team I would have actually applauded them off the field for their performance.
Last year we scored lots of goals but unfortunatley let in too many.
Change it now please Roland - or if you are as honorable as Mr Ratcliffe, then walk away now JQ. Dont bother picking up the rest of your contract as we need the money.
We need a few more points to guarentee playoff then win 2 games and we are out of this league.
I do not see that happening though. Most of the players walk away when Cooke goes to speak to them. Barnet seems to be a blip, just as out 5-0 drubbing at Blackpool in 79.
Town fans are fickle and wont want Brian Flynn as he is Welsh, but we need someone to sort it out and become an instant legend.
Martin O'Connor - he knows the players, has been there, done it got the t-shirt. He battles and fights.
MOC in until the rest of the season. Then GT after Hereford are promoted (ill keep dreaming)
roland.. the club will lose the fans if nothing is done. now is the only time. its a gamble but i think most are behind it. at least when we were in the league and went down the conference is new and exciting for a year. it will take something special to get them back and i can only see STFC in more decline.
