Well here is the bombshell which will rock the BlueandAmber messageboard. Despite all of the allegations of cheating and all of the huffing and puffing which has been done by some BlueandAmber users about Notts Countys financial situation. It turns out that out of the squad of galacticos who were way out of the clubs price range have a guess how many of the starting eleven have departed since last season? No your wrong it was just the one. Kasper Schmiechal departing for Leeds United has been the only member of the starting eleven to leave Meadow Lane since then a wealth of experience has been signed with players arriving from 2 Championship clubs and 1 from the Premier League. Does that strike you as a little odd? Maybe it turns out that Notts County can indeed afford players which clubs like Shrewsbury just cannot lure. Once the likes of Notts County come knocking Ben Davies went weak at the knees! Now is your chance to admit that Notts County were the best footballing side in League 2 and indeed won the league fair and square. Love Kopthis xXx

Instead of answering the points made on your other thread, you start another one based on the fact that you eat magic mushrooms. All mouth, no balls.

As the recent When Saturday Comes Article pointed out players like Hughes, Davies etc are on such silly contracts it pays for them to stay at Notts as no other club at that level is willing to pay a transfer fee for them, and take on their wage demands.
You can't blame the players at Notts County for staying there as they are under contract, but unless the club finds a lot of new funding, or attendances really increase they could be heading for further financial trouble. Ultimately the cash in v cash going out balance sheet isn't sustainable.

Run along crapthis , your nappy must be full and need changing as what comes from your keyboard must be reflected in what comes out lower down .
You will need to check the dictionary for words such as , administration , receivers , as you will be needing them this season .

To be fair to Notts they have proved me wrong to an extent I thought that when they got promoted they would have millions of debt which would increase forcing them to sell their players and maybe go into admin when in L1. In my eyes that would have been cheating as they would have simply enjoyed the benefits of promotion with money they could could not afford and then their 'penalty' would have been to have probably ended up back in the same division, hardly a penalty You can argue that its not right that they got promoted with money they did not have and some benefactor has come along to clear their debts, but at least their debts have been paid off - well if Trew is telling the truth of course. However if it is true, they certainly arent the first football club to be saved by one man and be bankrolled by him news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/notts_county/8797259.stm

You can "spin" all you like, but against this, well it just plainly blows you out of the water. Top post on the subject.

You can't blame the players at Notts County for staying there as they are under contract, but unless the club finds a lot of new funding, or attendances really increase they could be heading for further financial trouble. Ultimately the cash in v cash going out balance sheet isn't sustainable. I'd like to clear this point up, the players are on sustainable contracts if you look at factors such as our attendance last year v our season tickets prices and match days prices compared with that of other clubs in League 2 it allows us to pay twice or even three times as much money for a player as almost every other club in this league, the only player which exceeded what we could pay was Kasper [ up until Jan/Feb ] and I don't dispute this fact, within a period of weeks after the takeover the salary cap was brought under to 54.9%. As far as funding and sustainability goes, I'm sure you are no idiot and are aware that very few clubs in Leagues 1/2 operate season to season whilst making a profit. 90% of clubs will lose money from one season for example Notts County made looses of £100,000 then new sponsorship comes in, clears this debt ect.. and this may also be a similar position to Shrewsbury. With the money brought in and invested in the club through sponsorship and such like, the squad and the contracts they are on are very much sustainable no player at the club is on a big/top earner wage for league 1 and we have a top 6 budget, we are able to attract players who are higher rated and thought of such as Jon Harley, John Spicer and Ben Burgess [see link for Ian hollaways thoughts] have money available for transfers and for wages. Many individuals thought we'd come up and go straight back down thinking that this was just a stop-gap unfortunately for those who believe we cheated, which I agree with you on, we did break the rules and were punished accordingly in the same fashion other clubs have been, the crime was no different. We so to speak "got away with it" because we know have an owner with plenty of money and is willing to spend it to improve the club in both the short term and long term, if we do get relegated this season it wouldn't have been because we didn't have enough money, simply they just wouldn't have performed. Link------> Ollys thoughts "I wanted to keep Ben but someone offered him a two-year deal and he made that decision," Holloway said. "We were going to offer him a deal whereby if he played he would be paid a lot more than he's getting at Notts County, but he goes with our best wishes. He played a big part. "Having a big fella up front who can keep hold of the thing is a big help. "Some of our fans didn't appreciate it and wanted him to run through and score from 40 yards. It's a shame we couldn't educate everyone in what he did do and how important he was to the team. We are going to miss him."
