without wanting to be too pessimistic i think we are fighting with Barnet for 5th with a game in hand (great)
Barnet have Hereford (a), Burton (h), Northwich (a) and Leigh (h) - in my view definite 6 points from last 3 games if not 9 so could really do with them slipping up vs hereford.
If they win all games, we need 11 points from 15 to finish above them

Its getting to be a sad situation where we can decide our own destiny like last season (games in hand etc) but now we have to start looking around us to see who might slip up or who could do us a favour

Still think there are four teams going for the 3 spaces.
Win our game in hand against Gravesend and i know thats a big IF then we would be top of the pile of contenders. Aldershot and Exeter are no definates yet!

Neither side are in particulary great form, and I would imagine would just be a sitting duck in the play-offs.
I can't see us on current form beating Chester, and Morecambe away will be tricky as well, as every away game is for us.

Its touch and go. I reckon Quinn needs to get the Barnet job on a permanent basis for us to have a real chance.

ALDERSHOT Points = 68 Goals = +16 10-Apr-04 A Woking 12-Apr-04 H Hereford United 17-Apr-04 A Forest Green Rovers 24-Apr-04 H Tamworth
EXETER Points = 66 Goals = +16 10-Apr-04 A Chester City 12-Apr-04 H Woking 17-Apr-04 A Tamworth 24-Apr-04 H Accrington Stanley
SHREWSBURY Points = 65 Goals = +21 10-Apr-04 A Farnborough Town 13-Apr-04 H Chester City 17-Apr-04 H Stevenage Borough 20-Apr-04 H Gravesend 24-Apr-04 A Morecambe
BARNET Points = 64 Goals = +14 10-Apr-04 A Hereford United 12-Apr-04 H Burton 17-Apr-04 A Northwich Victoria 24-Apr-04 H Leigh RMI
Need a massive favour from both Hereford and Chester at the weekend, coupled with a win in Farnborough, we may all start to rest easier again.
MASSIVE WEEKEND AHEAD.

Good point there Paul!!!!!!! But lets just gloss over that Just seems to me like we are just starting another really bad period of play (late Exeter and last night) where as Barnet have been poor for a few weeks now - whos going to turn the corner quicker and get back on track Not us!!!!

I certainly wouldn't fancy Shots' or Exeter's run-ins right now, bar Tamworth. Aside from Chester we should get points from all the other 4 games.
Say two wins two draws, 73 points, assuming we win the homes.
That would leave:
BARNET to win all 3 other than Hereford, with a hatful of goals;
EXETER bar Chester, 2 wins + draw +hatful;
Shots bar Hereford, 2 wins.
OF course, we are relying on Hereford to still go for the title, anyone starts relaxing against these 3 teams, we is shafted beeeeeg time!

I reckon the other 3 teams will each get 9 points to be honest We will get 7 and miss out by a point to Barnet
Hope i'm wrong
can't help feeling like my mate who is a liverpool fan and wants them to finish 5th so they get rid of Houllier (the French Howard Wilkinson!)

I think it will all be decided (for Town) by the home games v Stevenage and Gravesend. The last one is still the ace card as far as I'm concerned (assuming we do actually beat Farnborough)

You'll beat Chester now. They'll be pooing themselves after our wins against Barnet and Aldershot.
