Don't forget the fact we're also on the lookout for a goalkeeper. I'm obviously just guessing here, but it could be that Turner means four permanent signings, and is planning to top the squad up with loan players if and when he deems it necessary. It's also possible that in BvdB Turner reckons he already has a good creative midfielder. maybe GT thinks he can get more out of Lewis Neal and Jake Robinson than his predecessor too. Bradshaw is only young but seems like he can create a goal from nothing too.

Jake Robinson seems to be a bit of a forgotten man at the minute, but he's definitely capable of a lot more than he showed last season.

FFS give it time. GT has said he's speaking to four players, two of which will give us creativity and goals. Signing's will be here soon! Have some bloody patience! If you believe that the defence was the problem last season I'd suggest you didn't see many games. If you think 1 additional creative player in midfield and one striker will solve our problems from last season you have a lot more faith than me. Well you've soon turned (excuse the pun). When you wanted Simpson gone you were all for giving the new manager time, now it seems anything less than top 3 will be failure. Did I miss something or are you just being consistent in having a go at whoever the manager happens to be?

Your problem seems to be that you attribute statements that are never made, where have I said anything but a top 3 finish would be failure. All I have said is that in my personal opinion the signings to date do not address the major problems the team had last season. On the 7th July Bullyboy described Trewick as "Mr Clean Sheets" which does have a reasonance based on current players coming in. If we are in for another season of few chances created I for one will regret getting another season ticket. Even if we win 46 games.

Seems a pretty impossible task to please you, how about if we win all our pre-season games as well, will that sway you? I must admit the sight of you tossing your season ticket at Turner after winning all our games will be comedy gold. Winning is winning, and i don't really care how it's acheived, i just want to get out of this p**s poor division and never have to see Macclesfield, Barnet or Stevenage again.

If we are in for another season of few chances created I for one will regret getting another season ticket. Even if we win 46 games. I understand what your saying in that the defence wasnt the main thing that needed changing from last season as we were pretty solid, but you've gota remember that from last years team we have lost Skarz and Langmead. Sharps Coming in i assume in place of langmead and Sadler coming in as a replacement for Skarz so in theory weve only really added one defender to last seasons squad, just changed the personel of three. I think you need to relax a bit and trust that GT will be bringing in midfielders and at least one striker in the near future. He has already said publicly that we need a striker, a midfielder and some pace so its not as if he isnt thinking about it.. Just be pacient instead of moaning everytime we sign a player that isnt attack minded. Im of the opinion that you should always build from the back because if you stop the other team scoring you wont loose many games, once thats sorted we got to go and get the players who are going to create chances and score goals and i believe that is what is being done now.

Well if you are happy with a game of football where we defend for 90 minutes and score with our only shot on target, thats fine I have no problem. Personally I'd prefer to see a game where we lose 4 - 3 as long as it doesn't happen too often or win 4 - 3. But there again I expect some entertainment for my money. As I said on another thread its about what your expectations are.

when turner arrived he said we needed more pace, give him time to get the players in he wants!! players like harrold and ainsworth will have more than 1 club after them so negotiations will take longer, if at this time next week we have no attacking signings then its time to start to worry.

boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=121&fid=18&sty=2&act=1&mid=2120994883Sounds promising - the Carlisle fans are pretty complementary on the whole, and even the ones who think he's "found his level" seem to think he'd be a good signing for any League 2 side. Interesting that someone on there mentions in passing that centre-back is his preferred position of the two, although it sounds like he's been playing full-back recently.
