We hardly ever score from crosses, corners etc., but regularly get put under severe pressure, when defending them. Partly, this must be down to the lack of height in the squad. Although Challis and O'Connor get up well for their size, any side with these 2, plus Street, Rodgers, Banim and Lowe in their ranks, will always be put under pressure by bigger teams. As Quinn said, the most threatening that we looked all night from a corner, was when Howie went up.

And surely when signing a player their size is easily ascertained?

It was one of the main differences between the sides last night- they were dangerous from set pieces, we were not- our delivery was awful

Why are we putting high balls to players who are just over 5 foot tall. Surely the most effective way to play Rodgers, Banim, etc is with balls across the ground. Town players seldom play balls across the ground to feet, but when they do that is when the Town are usually at their best.

We played some nice "on the floor" stuff at Barnet; trouble is, if we try it on the Meadow, the bloody thing bobbles around like a medicine ball.

Pilch you're wrong. I've seen Sam head the ball at goal at least TWICE this season, that doesnt include heading the ball around the halfway line. ;D 1)At Northwich-when it dribbled just past the post 2) Game at home (cant remember who against) where he just headed it in the corner from about 15 yards. Super Super Sam Super Super Sam Super Sammy Aiston!!!!!

It was defo Morecambe i think Edwards crossed it for Sammy now wether Sammy had his eyes open or not when he headed it i dont know ;D. The Hucknal game was the one when Moss scored with a fluke, How many times have we scored from a corner this season i can think of the 2 against exeter and the two games against Northwich
