So let's say Quinn goes with half a dozen games to go! Where does that leave us?
None of us have any confidence at all in any of the other backroom staff to take over the reigns. They're certainly not going to settle the ship.
Who else can come in and motivate the players, get them playing as a team, bring back the passion and commitment, and teach our strikers how to hit a barn door from 5 yards, all in the spaice of 5 games?
Much as I think Quinn has screwed up big time, I see no better alternative until the end of the season. We've lost to our closest rivals, it's heartbreaking, devestating. We're sick to the teeth of giving Quinn the benefit of the doubt, another chance! However, we're still in a playoff position, we still have a good chance of giong up. Quinn leaving will only unsettle the team even more (if that's possible!)
Just look at Barnet, where their manager left 6 or 7 matches ago! They haven't won a game since!

We haven't won that many games since the Barnet manager left.

Quite.
No Play Offs then Out. No Play Off Win then Out.
But changing the manager at this stage will not alter the course of this season for the better.

and just look at us, we have a manager and have 5 points in 6 games. At the moment anyone could do just as good a job as Quinn.

Its the same situation as last season. We have games in hand...losing them We are playing badly and need the manager out Last season nowt was done, who knows what might have happened had say Jemson/Atkins taken over for the final few games? Same could be said now if say O'connor or even Bates was put in charge to the end of the season?
We'll never know until its tried.

How about Dean Spink as boss for the rest of the season He could be the first ever manager/physio in the conference, if not we could at least play him instead of tellytubby Banim.

I agree that it's been the case all season! I just don't believe that with just 5 games left anyone new can turn it around! Will a new man in charge get us playing together, get Tino and Howie to work together, get us to score goals again, get us to play for 95 minutes! I doubt it. I have little or no faith in Quinn, but feel there's no advantage in changing now, bar Thierry Henry coming in as player manager!

Lets face it a new temp manager couldnt do any worse than Quinn.
I reckon we should let the players choose one of themselves to become temp manager untill the end of the season and clear out all of the backroom staff.
That way the players will have only themselves to blame and the board can hold there heads up high in the knowledge that they did the right thing by the majority of fans.

just cos theres no alternative does not mean that he should not go - he must have seen the fans tonight - no body wants you JQ go and leave martin occoner in charge for i care - i bet he makes them try training set peices and will get them motivated for these important games -

Some decent points Ackeyshrew.
Yes Barnet haven't done well since Allen left.
However Barnet fans regarded him as their best manager since Barry Fry.
Looking on the negative side of this - would Town have won at Barnet if Allen was still there?
Looking on the negative side for Jimmy Quinn - there are sides which respond positively to a change in manager.

If Quinn stays i think we'll be very lucky to make the play offs and will be relying heavily on other teams to drop points.
Quinn has lost the respect of his fans and probabaly from a lot of his players. He has shown once again tonight that he can't motivate - crikey, get me in the changing rooms before the game, I'm pretty sure that along with most other Salop fans I'd be able to motivate them

With language like that Phil, I'm sure they'd respond!!! I'm bored of the argument that individually we have a great squad. COLLECTIVELY (including the MIS-Management team), we are a ****ing shambles

We have not made any progress from the first game of the season against Margate.
I am sure Quinn will be sacked today and Chic put in charge . Then again i forcast Fred Davies would be manager by last November.
